(Y/n) slowly opened her eyes, the scent of pine wood and the cold breeze shaking her awake. She groaned lightly, turning over in her sleeping bag. She let out a soft breath, soaking in the warmth of the padding. The wind blew softly against her skin like a shock of ice slapping her awake. (Y/n) sighed, opening her eyes still heavy with sleep. Crawling out of her sleeping bag, she stretched her arms which had gone stiff. She let out a sigh, feeling her senses sharpen as she further awoke. The moon was still out, the dark night sky littered with countless heavenly bodies shining down on her, bathing her in a shower of starlight.
(Y/n) couldn't help but smile as she took in a deep breath of the chill spring breeze, feeling the world calmly rotate around her. She closed her eyes, soaking in the first glimpse of peace in what felt like a decade. Normally, (Y/n) hated the quiet. It felt like a bad omen that something terrible was about to occur, but for once, it felt like a sign that she had done something right. It felt like a reward or a godly blessing.
(Y/n)'s eyes lazily opened, finally tracing around the campsite and observing their surroundings. She quietly stepped around a burnout campfire, the embers still dimly burning beneath the rubble of burnt sticks filling the air with a soft smoky smell. Another strong breeze passed by them, carrying away the smoke and smothering the embers in the ashes of burnt firewood.
Aang, Katara, and Sokka slept in a circle surrounding the campfire, Aang softly groaning as he rotated in his sleep, muttering incoherent nonsense. Katara's chest softly rose and fell, her mouth slightly open as she let out slow and heavy breaths. Sokka was on his stomach, arms draped outside the sleeping bag and his blanket discarded off to the side. (Y/n) let out a soft chuckle as Sokka let out a loud snore. She had been sleeping next to Appa near Katara and Aang, safely tucked into her cot on his tail.
The river next to the campsite was quiet, the soft ambiance of running water filling her with a feeling of melancholy. She let out a yawn, closing her eyes and covering her mouth. (Y/n) smiled one last time looking at her family before tucking herself back into bed and dozing off into a dreamless sleep.

When the morning next came, the once tranquil forest was filled with the sounds of shouts and joy. (Y/n) sheepishly grinned, embracing her siblings as they raced into her open arms.
"(Y/n)!" They shouted, sinking into her embrace.
She had woken up before anyone else just before the break of dawn. Once she had quietly walked over to the lake and washed her face, Aang had lazily rolled over, forcing his eyes open to watch (Y/n)'s sleeping bag. He panicked for a moment, realizing it was empty. Jumping up from the floor, he frantically turned around before yelling and waking everyone else up.
"You scared me! I thought you had left!" Aang said in a sad tone, burring his face into her shoulder.
(Y/n)'s smile faltered.
"Aang, you know I could never leave you, right?" (Y/n) quietly whispered into his ear, hugging them all tighter.
He let out a small hum in response.
"Good," she whispered back, closing her eyes and embracing them all before letting go.
Sokka wiped his eyes before placing his hands on his hips, mustering a fake look of confidence on his face.
"There's a town nearby, and we need supplies. Who wants to go shopping?"
(Y/n) traded looks with everyone and grinned. She placed her arm around Katara and Aang, walking forward to join Sokka with a large grin on her face.
