Summary - Reece walks in on Mia and Charlotte having sex, because the poor guy just can't catch a break 😂
Reece had been trying to catch up all day. His attention span was atrocious at the best of times and today he just couldn't concentrate. Eventually he had to switch his phone off and lock it in his desk drawer to stop himself from scrolling on Reddit.
That helped and he managed to get some kind of system going, powering through a decent amount of work in the end. He glanced up at the clock and realised with a jolt that it was 18:00 - he was supposed to be at Charlottes in 15 minutes for another of their 'therapy' sessions. He grabbed his phone from the desk drawer and bolted out of the door, she didn't live far so he'd make it if he got a move on. He appreciated the fact that she was giving up her time for him, so he didn't want to take liberties by being late.
He parked up outside Charlottes house just in time, glad that he had made it. They'd had enough of these sessions now that Charlotte just left the door unlocked for him, usually she was sat in the lounge watching TV and waiting for him. He strolled inside as usual, making his way down the hallway and turning left into the lounge. As he pushed the lounge door open he had no idea how much he was going to regret the decision to do so.
Charlotte was lying on her sofa with her back arched and she was moaning loudly. Thankfully she was wearing a dress, but it was bunched up around her hips. She had one hand clutching the back of the sofa, with her other hand tangled in Mia's hair down between her legs. It took a few moments for Reece to process what he was seeing, he knew he needed to turn and leave but his brain was so discombobulated he just stood there with his mouth hanging open. As his thoughts cleared and he realised what he'd just watched he did finally turn around, but for some reason he forget which direction the door was and walked directly into the wall.
"OH MY GOD REECE WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Charlottes voice was so high pitched it nearly burst Reece's eardrums. Reece wasn't really sure what to say and "watching you have sex with my ex girlfriend because I have the reaction timings of a slug" didn't seem like an appropriate answer right now.
"Uh, sorry, I didn't know you had company...er..." for some reason, Reece's brain now thought it appropriate for him to turn around, look Charlotte directly in the eye, immediately regret that, then turn to face the wall again. Never had he wished for the ground to swallow him up more than in this moment.
"I TEXT YOU SAYING I COULDN'T DO TONIGHT!" Charlottes voice was reaching a level that rivalled a dog whistle at this point.
The tension was broken by Mia bursting out into a fit of laughter. She was trying to say something, but she couldn't get her words out because she could barely breathe.
"MIA! ITS NOT FUNNY!" Charlotte was not happy.
Reece turned to face the two women once again, saying sheepishly "my phone was off, I didn't see your message, sorry Char."
For some reason this sent Mia into an even more intense fit of laughter, to the point tears were streaming down her face. As she began to regain her composure, she placed a reassuring hand on Charlottes arm and said "it is a little bit funny Char, and it's nothing he's not seen before".
"Yes it is!" Charlotte spluttered "oh my god, every time I speak to you I'm just gonna think of you seeing me...oh my GOD!" She buried her face in her hands.
"Char don't worry it's a natural thing you don't need to be embarrassed." Reece didn't want her to feel bad - it wasn't that big a deal, he'd seen Mia in a similar situation many times before. None of the interactions he'd previously witnessed were anywhere near as intense as what he'd seen tonight, but they were officially girlfriends now.
"Er, right, er, I'm gonna go. Nice to see you Mia." Mia sniggered, causing Reece to roll his eyes. "Charlotte I'll see you at work on Monday, er you're with me aren't you?"
"Charlotte groaned "yeah, which is all I need."
"Oh charming" Reece muttered.
This set Mia off again and as she screamed laughing, Reece briefly thought how nice it was to see her so happy. He would have preferred it to have been for literally any other reason, but that horse had already bolted.
Reece turned to leave, clumsily staggering out of the lounge. Once he was sat in his car, he took a deep breath. REALLY? The past few months had essentially been a series of embarrassing moments for Reece but this one had taken the proverbial biscuit. Maybe he should get therapy, if only to block out the image of Charlotte writhing around.
So now he needed a therapist to talk about trauma caused by his fake therapist. Fantastic.
