I'm here stuffing myself with ice cream because it makes me feel better while someone's life is hanging on a thread. It's not my fault that I'm revengeful. My dad taught me how to fight when I was a pre-teen and one thing he told me was to never let anyone hurt Chester Dlamini's daughters. So when people hurt me,I hurt them back. People called me a bully and a spoilt brat but I didn't care as long as I didn't bully anyone first.
"You!" Luyolo walks inside the house screaming with his brat following him. He looks so cute but he has a shitty father. I'm relieved he's alive.
"What do want here? Now I'm going to seriously change my passcode." I yawn.
"You hired people to hijack me while I was with a child in my car? My child?" He's fuming and spitting fire.
"That's sounds like a you problem and that child is not mine why should I feel sorry for him?" I roll my eyes at him and continue stuffing my face with ice cream.
"You know I knew you were a psycho but not like this. I'm going to get you Adelaide. You started this right? I'll finish it for you." He point at me repeatedly. Am I supposed to be scared?
"Close the door on your way out." He picks up his child and walk out. I hope this time we never meet. I need a fresh start.
Maybe I should cut off my locs but I put a lot of hardwork into this. So cutting my hair is off the list. I should go do a pedicure and manicure and also go shopping. Maybe going into normal stores like normal people would be great. I should properly buy novels as well. I'm not a bookworm but Asante used to read especially when she wasn't okay.
I stand up and text my stylist on WhatsApp to ask her if she has an open slot so that I can squeeze myself in. Unfortunately she doesn't but she says I can come and her assistant will help me. She's also not bad so I take my car keys and credit card and walk out.

Finally it's Friday. I can go out and party without even feeling guilty. I start by doing laundry first. I don't want a maid in my house. I can't stand sharing my space with a stranger. It makes me feel so uncomfortable. So I have no choice to do my own chores. I'm doing them for myself so I don't mind but washing someone else's clothes or cleaning after them is not something I'll ever do. Even cooking unless I want to.
The intercom rings and I rush to answer it.
"Adelaide Dlamini."
"Hi miss Dlamini you have a parcel." A man's voice says from the intercom. I walk to the gate and opens for him.
"Good morning ma'am. This is for you." He gives me a box written 'Handle with care'. It's not big. Horizontally it's the size of my arm while vertically it's the size of my hand.
"Thank you but what is this? I never ordered anything."
"I also don't know ma'am. Have a good day." He walks to his car which doesn't even look like a delivery car.
I walk inside and sit down on the couch before opening the box. Inside there's a jewelry box and when I open it I'm awed to find an amethyst necklace. The purple stone looks so gorgeous. Who would send me such an expensive necklace? Amethyst is one of the rarest gemstones.
I pick it up carefully and put it on before walking to lounge mirror. It looks pretty on me and matches with my manicure. But the question is who sent it?
I put it back inside the box and take it upstairs to my safe. I put all my jewelry in here. I go back to the laundry with a smile on my face. I didn't know I love gifts from strangers. If it's a bomb I'll die for all I care. Tonight I'm wearing purple. I'm going out with Natasha and Palesa. They are the only ELC members I'm still in contact with.
