"When are you coming back?" Angie asked from the video call. I'm in my room and lying on my stomach. I just don't know if I shouldn't lie on my stomach or not, but I've been doing this before. I even discovered I am pregnant, but maybe I shouldn't. What if I hurt the baby, or he comes with a flat head?

"Addy?" I snap out of my thoughts when I hear Angie calling my name. I sit upright before focusing on her.

"What's wrong? You don't look happy." She frowns at me. I wanted to do this fave to face, but...

"I'm pregnant." She screams and almost drops her phone. Now, all I'm seeing is the ceiling and listening to her unending screams. I hear another person talking in the background.

"What's wrong?" That's my mom's voice. She picks up the phone and realizes that it's a video call, and it's me.

"Addy? How are you? When are you coming back?" Looking at her frowned face, I realize how similar my mom and Angie are. Even their facial expressions are the same.

"I don't know, Mom. What are you doing in my house?"

"That's the only thing you ask? You forgot that I brought you this house." This is the reason I can never live in the same province with my mom. She's always after me.

"Mom scoot over." Angie tries to snatch the phone from her, but my mom refuses to give it to her.

"I also want to speak to my daughter. Why must I be included? How have you been doing, Addy? You are glowing." They are both sitting down on the bed on a video call with me.

"I-" Before I could get anything out of me,Angie beat me to it.

"She's pregnant, Mom. She just told me right now, and it's the reason I was screaming." Angie announces. She's too excited. You'll swear she's helping me carry the baby.

"Pregnant? Addy, stand up and show me your stomach." On a video call? My mom is just too much, but I do as she asks. I show her my not so flat tummy.

"She doesn't look pregnant. How long are you?" I go back to sitting down before I answer her.

"Six months. Apparently, it's a cryptic pregnancy." My mom gasps. She looks so shocked.

"Cryptic? Addy, you could have killed the baby. You've been way too reckless with drinking alcohol. I pray that the baby is healthy." Why wouldn't he be healthy? He's a Elephant.

"Luckily, he's okay."

"He? Finally, a boy in the family. I'm so happy for you, little sis. Come back soon so that we can celebrate." Angie says.

"Where are you anyway? You girls never tell me anything, and who's the father? I hope it's not Luyolo." My mom looks mortified at the thought.

"Relax, Mom. It's not that bastard Luyolo." I put her at ease. Both my parents hate Luyolo.

"Then who is it? Don't tell me you don't know him."

"Mom!" Angie and I say simultaneously. Why is she always thinking the worst out of me? I know I'm wild, but Jesus.

"What? I don't remember you dating. Look at your sister. She's married but I was never invited to her wedding. She has kids while I never saw her pregnant." Angie just laughs at my mom's complaints.

"Gemstone?" Qhawe peeks at the door before walking in when he sees me. He's only wearing shorts and a vest. He's been gaining weight in the past two weeks, and he's almost looking as before. He takes off his vest before he walks closer to me. I'm so staring that I've even forgotten that I'm on a video call.
