I stare at the city. The light are shining so brightly. It's a beautiful sight except it's going to rain soon. I love summer but I hate the storms and heavy rains. In a week it will be my birthday, November 30. I'm a sagittarius baby. My intercom rings and it makes me wonder who it may be in the at this time. I place the cup of coffee on the table and walk to the door.
I'm shocked to see Angie standing at the door holding her bags with the Elle twins behind her holding their teddy bears. She didn't mention anything.
"Angie?"
"I need a hug." She pulls me to her and hug her. In the past six months, our phone calls were rare but she kept updating me about her life so I wouldn't worry.
We finally let go of each other and she ask her kids to walk inside while she pushes their bags. I help her with the bags then close the door after everyone walks in.
"Hello girls." I kneel down to hug the twins who just stare at me like I'm a stranger.
"They are going to get used to you. They are just tired. Let me take them to bed." She picks up both the toddlers and walk upstairs. I'm surprised she's here and not at home but I'm just happy she brought her children.
She finally comes downstairs and sit down on the couch with me. I hand her the cup of coffee I had made for her in her absence. She takes a sip and finally her eyes meet my curious ones. I have lots of questions.
"What?" She ask.
"Why didn't you mention that you were coming?" I mean she always tells me before she comes in the country. From when Asante was still alive she would tell me first that she's coming.
"It was a quick decision and I just wanted to find myself here before Nathan changes his mind." She discloses with a sad smile.
"Angie what's going on in your marriage?"
"I'm sure you can figure it out that it's not normal and this time I promise to tell you everything. Just not tonight. I'm so tired and it's a long, tiring story." I give her a nod. At least she's willing to talk.
"Let's just have casual talks. How have you been?"
"Fine I guess but I could swear I've been feeling something moving in my stomach lately. It's scaring me." Angie laughs at me.
"Something like what? A baby?" She teases.
"Gosh no. I'm not pregnant." I last had sex with Qhawe six months ago before I was kidnapped. After that night I had nightmares I've never heard from him again. I unfollowed him and Petal on Instagram. Believe me it still hurts because I thought I had something with him but clearly not. The hotel deal was purchased and he gave me 70% share which I refused but I took the 50%.
"When was the last time you were on your periods?"
"About a week ago. You know my menstruation periods only last for two to three days with immense period pains." She nods but she still doesn't believe me.
"If you say so but I know you're dramatic." She laughs again. She's having fun with me.
"I hope Petal isn't bewitching me." Like imagine being bewitched for a man?
"I hope she does. What were you doing with her man?" She shakes her head in amusement.
"Please don't tell me about Qhawe. I don't want to think about him." We finish having our coffees and retire to our prospective rooms.

My parents are so happy to see the twins. Asenathi and Christopher are here as well. My house is full of noises but at least it's a Sunday and I'm only going to work tommorow.
