Peering through the window, us in that cheap bed
But my eyes were focused on you
For you were more beautiful than the moon
Hell, I wanted all of you to myself
You looking at me like you looked at the night sky
You loving me like you loved the moon that night
Just one second with you and everything felt right
You said, "The moon is beautiful tonight"
While I kissed you under its glowing light
How I mistook one tempting night
To something as expensive as "a lifetime"

This time a voice at the back of my mind
Months have passed without you by my side
The moon's still here but it's always been you I wanna sight
