Narrative

Morticia, Gomez, and Pugsley wait by the limo as Wednesday and Winda approaches. Gomez gives them a wide, paternal smile.

"Look at you, my little death traps! Seeing that uniform brings back so many terrible memories, doesn't it, Tish?" He asked, his deathly beautiful wife.

Morticia looks at her two children, suddenly overcome. "Why don't you boys wait in the car? I need a moment with my two dark clouds." Pugsley throws his arms around his two older siblings, hugging them. They don't return the gesture.

"Pugsley, you're soft and weak. You'll never survive without us. We'll give you two months tops." They said, glaring at the boy. "I'm gonna miss you guys too." He says, sadly walking towards Gomez as they both get into the limousine.

"Any plans you have of running away end right now. I've alerted all family members to contact me the minute you two darken their doorsteps. You have nowhere to go." Morticia says sternly looking at her oldest children.

Wednesday and Winda don't break eye contact."As usual, you underestimate us, Mother. We will escape this educational penitentiary and then you will never hear from us again." Wednesday says with no expression on his face.

"Wednesday, Winda, you two are brilliant children. But sometimes you both get in your own way. I'm sure you'll grow to love Nevermore and find it as life-changing as I did. I got you both a little something." She said, opening a black decorative box.

She presents them with two pendants. It features a small obsidian "W" which can be spun to form an "M" too. One was dark blue the other one was black.

"W" and "M". Our initials. It's made of obsidian, which Aztec priests used to conjure visions." She said, smiling tenderly. She put them around Wednesday's and Winda's neck. "It's a symbol of our connection." The two older children observe the gift. Then looks at their mother.
