Fourteen

Jin stood at the sink as he was washing the same plate for 10 minutes, while Jimin sat watching him.

"Are you worried that he will kidnap Su-min?"

Jin snapped out of it and says, "No.. that's one thing I'm sure of. He doesn't want the responsibility of looking after her full time."

"Then what has you so worried that you keep scrubbing the same plate over and over?"

Jin looks down at the plate and rinses it off before wiping his hands and going to sit down.

"I don't know. I just don't like that they're here. In my hometown. Especially that bitch. How could he have the balls to bring her here? To my mom's house?!"

"You're not worried about her are you?"

"Worried? She already has that bastard. What else should I be worried about?"

"I don't know. But knowing her, she might try to snag Tae while she's here. Bitches like that think they have to have everyone just because they can. And because the person they're most insecure about has him. You know that Tae is pretty hot. I'm sure she's already thought about it.''

Jin frowns and says, "I don't know. Do you really think that after putting me on national television to humiliate me just for my husband, that she'd be eager to bag Tae? Just because she thinks she can?"

"Yes! Especially since she has seen how much Tae adores you. That alone must be driving her insane. She wishes she was you."

Jin laughs out loud and says, "Come on! She does not. But you might be right about wanting the men who I have been in relationships with. I wonder if Tae would ever fall for her."

Jimin rolls his eyes and says, "I very much doubt it. The way Tae feels about you is what everyone dreams of. And I think it runs in the family cause my man is the same way."

"Wow Jimin, I didn't think you would ever fall for someone so hard. You always talked about loving your single life."

"That was before I met that amazing man. He's hot, he's built, he's smart and so fuckin' sweet. He spoils me so much. I love him! And yes, he's a little clumsy and he can't drive. But it's ok, cause I can drive us everywhere. And we can always buy new things whenever he breaks something."

"True.. as long as he's loyal and he loves you. That's all that matters."

Jin went searching for his mother who hasn't been around as much as before. So he knocks on her door.

"Eomma? Is everything ok?" Jin asked as he walked in further.

His mother was sitting in her chair by the window that faces the street. She looked sad and he was beginning to get worried about her.

She smiles when she sees him and says, "I'm fine. I was just thinking about your Appa. It's been five years since he's passed and I just miss him so much."

"I miss him too. I wish he had gotten to know Su-min better. I know he would have spoiled her."

"He was very sad that he'd miss seeing her grow up. Who knew that he would be gone so quickly."

"Do you want to do something? Maybe visit the cemetery?"

She shakes her head and replies, "No.. I don't like to visit that place. I only want to remember him as he was in life. I feel I will be joining him soon enough."

Jin rushes to her side and falls to his knees and hugs her. He drapes his body over her legs and cries, "Eomma, please don't talk like that. I can't lose you too. Not until I'm 85.. I might be able to handle it then. But not before that."
