The sensation of Mochi's kiss lingered on Airene's lips, sending a wave of warmth through her body. She felt different, cherished in a way she had never experienced before. This was her first kiss, and she wanted to hold onto the moment forever. But just as she began to savor the tenderness, Mochi slowly pulled away. It was then she felt a pang of regret for not being able to see his face, to capture the expression in his eyes. The scent of his cologne, the softness of his plump lips, and the gentle touch of his skin were all she had to hold onto. It was a kiss devoid of lust, pure and sincere. Airene could tell because of the way Mochi held her, his hand resting supportively on her back, ensuring she felt secure and not startled.

Her mind flashed back to high school, where she had often heard her friends brag about boys touching them inappropriately, going for the butt or the hip. She had always found those stories gross. Mochi, however, was different—respectful, considerate, and caring. He finally spoke, his voice gentle and apologetic. "I'm sorry if I startled you or made you uncomfortable." Airene shook her head, a small smile playing on her lips. "No, you didn't. It was... nice." She leaned against him, resting her head on his chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat. Mochi's arms encircled her, holding her close. "I'm glad. I didn't want to rush things or make you feel uneasy."

"You didn't," Airene reassured him, her voice soft. "It was perfect." They sat there in silence for a while, listening to the distant pops and cracks of the fireworks. The night air was cool, but in Mochi's embrace, she felt warm and safe. She traced her fingers lightly over his chest, memorizing the feel of him."Airene," Mochi murmured, breaking the silence, "I've wanted to tell you how I feel for so long. I was just waiting for the right moment. "Airene tilted her head up, even though she couldn't see him. "I'm glad you did. I feel the same way, Mochi. You've made me realize that I'm more than my disability. You've seen me for who I truly am."

He tightened his hold on her, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. "You are extraordinary, Airene. Never doubt that." Tears of happiness welled up in her eyes as she snuggled closer to him. "Thank you, Mochi. For everything." As they continued to watch the fireworks together, Airene felt a profound sense of contentment. For the first time in a long while, she felt truly seen and loved. Mochi's presence had brought light into her world, and she knew that as long as they were together, she could face any challenge that came her way. The night sky blazed with colors, but Airene only needed to feel the warmth of Mochi's embrace to know that this moment, this connection, was the most beautiful thing of all.

Days were filled with love and joy for Airene and Mochi. Their bond grew stronger with each passing moment, and their time together was a sanctuary of happiness. However, not everyone shared in their joy. Many girls on campus were jealous of Airene, envious that she had captured the heart of the most admired guy. Rumors spread like wildfire, accusing Airene of sleeping around to ruin her reputation and break up her relationship with Mochi.

But Mochi stood by Airene, unwavering in his support and love. He knew the truth about her character and admired how gracefully she ignored the malicious gossip, staying loyal and true to him. Her strength and integrity only deepened his love for her.

As the semester drew to a close, the final week was a whirlwind of exams and last-minute preparations. Despite their hectic schedules, Airene and Mochi made time to talk on the phone every night. Their conversations were a balm for their busy days, filled with laughter, dreams, and words of love.

With exams finally over, Airene eagerly awaited the moment Mochi would introduce her to his parents. It was a promise he had made, and the thought of it filled her with both excitement and nervousness. She felt a mix of anticipation and anxiety as she imagined meeting the people who had raised the man she loved.
