LATER...

Jimin stormed into the house after work, his anger palpable. He saw Airene and Jungkook at the table, preparing to have dinner. His eyes burned with frustration as he threw his bag onto the sofa, the sound echoing through the room. Without a word, he marched straight to Airene. Her heart pounded in fear, sensing his fury. Before she could react, Jimin grabbed her by the arm and yanked her up. He raised his hand, poised to strike, but as his gaze met Airene's tear-streaked face, something in him broke. His hand trembled, and he hesitated. Jungkook, witnessing the tense moment, shouted, "Hyung!!" His voice snapped through the silence, heavy with concern. Jimin's hand fell to his side, unable to follow through.

Instead, he kicked the stool beside him, sending it flying across the room. The crash echoed as it broke upon impact, a physical manifestation of his turmoil. Airene, still trembling from fear, wiped her tears and looked at him, her voice cracking as she screamed, "Why did you stop? Go on, slap me!! Abuse me!! Do whatever you want, Jimin!!" Her voice was thick with pain and anger, daring him to hurt her. Jimin stood there, his chest rising and falling heavily as he struggled to control his emotions. The room was tense, a standoff between the two of them. Tears welled up again in Airene's eyes as she added, her voice softer but filled with despair, "Now I know why you don't want to work things out with me. You've found someone else, haven't you? You and and that woman...?" Her words trailed off, her misunderstanding of Jimin's relationship with Laura fueling her hurt.

Jimin's expression darkened, his voice low and sharp as he warned, "Don't you dare badmouth Laura". His words only fueled her anger further, and in a surge of frustration, she shoved him back. "That's it!" Airene turned to Jungkook, her voice shaking with emotion. "I want to leave tomorrow, back to my parents' house in Seoul. I can't take this anymore." Jungkook sighed heavily, trying to stay composed, "Airene, calm down. Let's talk about this. Don't make any decisions when you're upset." But she cut him off, yelling through her tears, "I tried, Jungkook! I tried like you told me, but he has his own fantasy life here! Someone else to take care of him, spoil him with alcohol, and cover for him, so he doesn't need me anymore."

She spun around to face Jimin, her voice trembling with raw hurt, "I'm sorry for not being there when you needed me, Jimin. But don't forget—you weren't there for me either when I needed you the most." Her words hit hard, a mixture of apology and accusation, leaving Jimin standing there, frozen in anger and guilt. With that, Airene stormed back to her room, leaving her untouched dinner on the table. The sound of the door slamming echoed through the quiet space, her pain lingering in the air. Jimin stood motionless, fists clenched, seething with anger, but deep down, he hadn't fully realized the extent of the damage he was causing.

Jungkook, left standing between them, let out a long, weary sigh, unsure of how to bring the two broken hearts back together.

Jimin stormed off to his workroom, leaving Jungkook at the dining table, unsure of how to fix the crumbling relationship. Airene, in her own world of heartache, threw her belongings into a suitcase, tears streaming down her face as she curled up on the bed, silently cursing her fate.

In the hall, Jungkook sat with his laptop, trying to focus on work, but his mind was constantly drifting back to Jimin and Airene, searching for a way to help them find common ground. He knew both were suffering, yet neither was willing to open up.

Meanwhile, in his room, Jimin drowned his sorrows in whiskey, each sip taking him further into darkness. His vision blurred, his thoughts hazy, until finally, his body gave in. His limbs grew heavy, and he collapsed, hitting the floor with a loud thud.

It was 1 a.m., and both Jungkook and Airene had dozed off in their separate rooms. The sudden noise jolted them awake, sending a chill down their spines. Without thinking, they rushed to Jimin's room. But when Jungkook tried the door, it wouldn't budge. It was locked.
