As Airene stood amidst the grandeur of her wedding, uncertainty clouded her thoughts like a heavy fog. She couldn't shake the nagging feeling that she was making a mistake. Jimin, oblivious to her inner turmoil, mingled happily with the guests, his smile never faltering. Airene's gaze fell to the ring on her finger, a symbol of the commitment she made. A single tear escaped her eye as she wished fervently that it was Mochi's ring instead. Quickly wiping away the tear, she forced a smile as Mrs. Park approached, enveloping her in a warm embrace. As she exchanged pleasantries with Mrs. Park, her eyes swept across the room, searching for something, or perhaps someone that caught her attention.

And there, standing at the corner of the bar, she spotted a familiar face—Taehyung. Her heart skipped a beat at the sight of him, his presence stirring a whirlwind of emotions within her. Approaching him with hesitant steps, Airene felt a rush of relief wash over her as he smiled at her warmly. "You look beautiful," he said softly, his words like a soothing balm to her troubled soul. Leading him to a secluded corner away from prying eyes, Airene felt a lump form in her throat as she struggled to find the words to explain her decision.

But before she could speak, Taehyung's smirk caught her off guard, sending a wave of confusion crashing over her. She felt a pang of regret at the hurt she had caused him with her silence and indecision. Stammering out an apology, Airene's heart shattered as Taehyung unexpectedly pulled her close, his lips brushing against her neck before planting a gentle kiss on her lips. Their foreheads touched briefly, a silent exchange of emotions passing between them. Tears welled up in her eyes as she felt that she made a mistake agreeing this marriage without knowing what she actually wants. With a heavy heart, she pulled away from Taehyung and fled from the room, leaving behind a trail of shattered dreams and unanswered questions.

As the night wore on, Jimin's concern for Airene grew with each passing moment. "Where have you been?" he asked as soon as he caught sight of her, his tone laced with worry. Before she could respond, he took her hand and led her to his table, urging her to eat something. They sat together in silence, the weight of the evening's events hanging heavy in the air.

It was well past 2 am when they finally left the party, and Airene followed Jimin to his house where it's a tradition that the bride follows the groom after marriage. Settling in, she made her way to the balcony, seeking solace in the quiet serenity of the night sky. As she gazed at the stars above, she felt Jimin's presence behind her. His arms wrapped around her, pulling her close as he rested his chin on her shoulder. Startled by his sudden touch, Airene recoiled, her voice sharp with anger as she lashed out at him. "Just because I'm married to you doesn't mean you can touch me without my consent!" she exclaimed, her words cutting through the silence like a knife. Jimin was taken aback by her outburst, his heart sinking at the realization that he had made a mistake. He reached out to her, his hand seeking hers, but she pulled away, her resolve unyielding.

Defeated, Jimin watched helplessly as Airene retreated inside, her actions a stark reminder of the chasm that had formed between them. He knew he had made things difficult for her, and the guilt weighed heavily on his shoulders as he watched her settle on the couch instead of joining him in bed. Alone with his thoughts, Jimin wrestled with the pain of knowing that he had caused her such distress. In that moment, he vowed to do whatever it took to mend their fractured connection and win back her trust.

The following day dawned with a sense of anticipation as Jimin surprised his parents and Airene with the news of his new condo, a place where they could start their life together as a family. His parents beamed with pride at their son's thoughtful gesture, their hearts swelling with joy at the prospect of seeing him settle down.
