Jimin, feeling the pangs of hunger after returning home, went to his room to change his clothes. As he was standing naked in front of the vanity checking himself out, admiring his toned body, Airene walked in, unprepared for the sight. Her eyes widened, and she quickly slapped her hand over her mouth to stifle a scream. Jimin, in a panic, tried to cover himself with his little hands. "You're still looking at me!" he shouted, his face turning crimson.
Hearing the commotion, Jungkook walked into the room, leaning against the door frame with a smirk. "Do you really think those chubby little fingers are going to cover that big bird?" he teased, bursting into laughter. Airene's face flushed, and she quickly apologized. "I'm so sorry!" she stammered, her eyes darting away.
Jimin, desperate for more coverage, grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around himself, all the while reaching for a pillow to throw at Jungkook. "Get out!" he yelled, his embarrassment evident. Jungkook dodged the pillow easily, his laughter filling the room. Airene, still mortified, tried to escape the room. She bent slightly to avoid hitting Jungkook's arm, which was resting on the door frame, and scurried out.
As she left, Jungkook follows her and he couldn't resist one last joke. "Next time, knock before you enter, Airene! We don't want poor Jimin having a heart attack." Jimin, now somewhat covered and still blushing furiously, glared at Jungkook. "You're not helping, Kook." Jungkook grinned, "Lighten up, hyung. It's not the end of the world."
Airene, now safely in the hallway, took a deep breath to calm herself. She could still hear Jungkook's laughter echoing through the house, mixed with Jimin's flustered protests. Shaking her head, she couldn't help but smile a little at the absurdity of the situation. Despite everything, it was moments like these that made the house feel alive.
After the chaos, Airene took a deep breath and decided to address the concern that had been nagging at her. She found Jimin in the living room, still slightly flustered from the earlier incident but now calmer. "Jimin, can we talk?" she asked, her tone gentle but firm.
Jimin looked at her, sensing the seriousness in her voice. "Sure, what is it?" he replied, attempting to sound nonchalant. Airene hesitated for a moment before continuing, "About your sleep problems... I asked Jungkook earlier, but he didn't know anything. Can you tell me what's going on?"
Jimin's expression darkened, and he looked away. Airene could tell he wasn't ready to talk about it, so she quickly added, "It's fine if you don't want to. I... uh just want to help."
Just as she was about to get up, Jimin reached out and gently grabbed her wrist, pulling her back down to sit beside him. He took a deep breath, clearly struggling to find the right words.
"It's not something I talk about often," he began, his voice barely above a whisper. "I had an accident a few years ago. My head injury was severe... I was in a coma for two years."
Airene's eyes widened in shock. She opened her mouth to say something but closed it again, letting him continue.
"While I was in the coma," Jimin continued, his voice trembling slightly, "I kept having this scene in my head, over and over. It was like a nightmare I couldn't wake up from. I was confused, couldn't tell what was real. It was... it was hell."
He paused, swallowing hard. Airene could see the pain in his eyes, and her heart ached for him. She reached out and placed a comforting hand on his knee, encouraging him to go on.
"Every day, I wished I could end it, but I couldn't move. I was trapped in my own mind, living the same nightmare repeatedly," Jimin said, his voice breaking. "When I finally woke up, I don't know if it was a good thing because it didn't stop. The nightmares followed me into the real world. Every time I slept, I'd have it again. It was like I never really escaped."
