"Hate to admit but it might be true
Hate to admit but I think you knew
Hate to be lame but I might love you."
___

Noa

"Y-your spot, at the school, it uh used to be Maude's. A-and I know what your going to say, and no your not a replica of her because you two are different people and I-I love you, and I know it's too soon, like way to fucking soon but I do, and I would never try to replace her and would never want to that image in Clem's mind. It didn't feel weird until today, when it clicked. When I had to go to the school and collect her belongings from the classroom. I'm sorry."

His words felt relieving but also like a stab in the back. I knew his intentions were to get me a job I knew I would enjoy but the same place as his ex wife. It gave me an uneasy feeling in my stomach. In the end, he loves me.

"Y-you do?" I choke.

"Yes. You don't have to say anything because I know you may not get but I do and I've kno-"

"I love you too." I repeat, cutting him off.

His face goes from worried to shocked in the matter of seconds.

"A-and it's okay, your intentions weren't to hurt me. It's okay, I'm just glad I'm able to do what I love. I'm also glad I'm putting my minor in child psychology to work." I laugh, looking at his glowing green eyes.

"I'm sorry again." He repeats as I shake my head."

"Don't be it's okay, seriously. I love you." I whisper back, my lips attaching to his as we cuddled under the sheets. His shirt was off in a matter of seconds as my clothes were off seconds later. I was left in my bra and underwear, my body feeling so bare yet concealed under his sheet.

Our bodies held on to each other enjoying the warmth from both our bodies. That was until a small interruption.

"Daddy, I had a nightmare." Fuck.

Harry looked at me, his eyes wide as he tossed me his shirt to put on. I did quickly, realizing it was a practically a night gown on me.

I was relieved, looking at Clem with sad eyes.

"Come here bubba, you want to sit with me and Noa?" She nodded, her small feet padding against the floor.

Harry picked her up placing her between both of us. I could see the tear stains and I instantly felt my heart breaking.

"What's the matter baby?" He cooed, his voice low.

"I uh, I had a nightmare that mommy was dying. That she was dying in a bed and no one was saving her. I was just yelling b-but you took me away." Her sniffles became more prominent, tears threatening to fall from my eyes.

"I'm sorry honey, you know, your mummy tried to fight so hard before she passed. She told me to tell you that she loves you so much. And she is so much stronger up there than here." He tells her. Her breathing calmed down a tiny bit, and I looked to her, smiling.

"Your mommy was a strong woman my darling. And she loved you with everything she had. Why don't we get the small music box of yours yeah?" I asked, her small body climbing over mine as I followed her into her room where she picked it from the shelf.

She brought it back to her bed where I sat with her, and talked her through everything.

She opened the box, her small hands cranking the bottom. Once she lets go the small lullaby plays with her mom's voice in the background.

I couldn't help at smile hearing both her and Harry's voice together so happy and young. She had a beautiful raspy voice, so natural which is where she gets her love for science from. Which is where I get my love from science. The natural treasures of life.
