"Ow..." Kali would limp her way through the cave. Her leg was badly hurt.
" I should maybe just levitate the rest of the way, but I can't stop here." Kali kept her slow walk as she left the tree behind.
"A doll...A tree...And the next place was the Circus of Horror. I guess the next must be the Harlequin." Kali would flinch in pain and stumble up against the right side of the wall.
"I can't see...anything." Kali's eye had completely given up now and her leg was pulsing with pain.
"Two of them down. Halfway there and this shit will be over." She mumbled as she kept walking. IT wasn't long before a giant entrance left her out of the cave and the next thing she stepped into was something she didn't think she could understand.
"What the-" Her eyes were confused. It was like she walked straight into a picture. The whole area looked like it was painted in a van Gogh picture style. Everything seemed so fake and cereal. The view in front of her was like the background of a giant city. Moonlit night and there was only one path for her to walk. Straight into a giant circus tent.
"Hihihihi. Hello! I see you made it this far. I am the harlequin and I am the leader of the Circus of Horror. You have come to claim my blood, but first, you have to find me...Find me deep within this horrified place!" She laughed once more and then her voice vanished. Kali would sigh and limp her way forward, dragging a small redline across the already-painted canvas she was walking on.
"Halfway, hm?" A voice rang into her head. It was the Virtuoso.
"Where are you, scum?!" Kali called out.
"I am behind the cathedral as I promised you. And do refrain from calling me words. You have done well. How do you like my sculptured world? A world of my image and mind." He laughed softly.
"Fuck...you," Kali said as she limped into the tent.
"Well, good luck. The fun truly starts...here." His voice called out. kali limped her way through darkness. A single spotlight suddenly turned on showcasing a single finger. Dripping blood into a vial.
"E-ew..." Kali looked at it.
"It's my finger. Go take it." The voice called out. Kali picked up the vial and looked around.
"Good. I wanna play fair, you know?" Kali looked at it and stashed it down into her satchel.
"Now. That you have what you need. You only have to escape my tent. IF YOU CAN!" A devilish giggle erupted as the light suddenly vanished.
"W-what?" Kali suddenly felt the floor under her vanish and she dropped.
"Fuck. My items!" She couldn't even resist as her items flew away from her.
"You will get them back when you EARN IT!" The voice screamed. Kali came to a halt suddenly, finding herself sitting on a chair. She gasped for air as the lights turned on and she sat in the middle of a room on a chair. There was only a single staircase in front of her.
"My stuff." Kali slowly stood up. Her satchel and bag were gone. Everything she could use to technomance with had been taken from her. Even the vials. She looked down to see that blood leaked up from the floorboards.
"E-ew!" She tried to step away from it, but her hurt leg made her stumble and she crashed against the wall. The wall slowly stretched out toward her in hands.
"Let go!" She tore herself free as she looked down and saw the blood had formed an arrow, pointing up toward the staircase.
"Yea..I get it." Kali slowly moved up the staircase. As she was about to reach the top it extended upwards, making her stumble and hit her head into the wooden step.
"W-what?" She rubbed her nose which was leaking a small amount of blood.
"Oh, did the staircase get you...Well, you better get moving..." The voice called out. The voice was also female. Very sinister and dark. Kali heard creaking as a void of black liquid was now chasing after her from below. Hands and claws grasping out from the liquid. Kali flinched as she quickly picked up the pace and moved up the steps.
"Shit, shit, shit, shit." Kali tried to reach the door, but it was like the stairs kept expanding in front of her.
"Oh, can't you reach the door? Well, then there is only one place to go..." The voice said. The stairsteps shot into the surface, making the whole surface smooth. Kali slid and started sliding down toward the liquid.
"No!" She turned sideways and slammed her shoulder and feet into either side of the hall, stopping her descent.
"Get away!" Kali shouted as her pendant opened. The small box contains a single battery. She grasped it.
"Improvised. 100-volt fire!" She threw the battery, making it ignite in flames and burn the hands back. The void roared and slowly vanished. She couldn't hold on anymore. She lost her grip and started sliding fast down toward the basement again. She crashed against the ground, only to find herself in another room. In front of her was a single door.
"Freaky shit..." Kali slowly stood up, shaking her body a bit. Her leg was hurting even more now as she had used it to stop her descent.
"That goes my backup...-" She looked down to see it lying on the ground.
"Ay...always there me trust companion." She picked up the battery.
"Now then-" She grasped the battery tightly and started walking toward the door. She pushed it open to reveal a lot of herself. A giant mirror maze. The floor, roof, and walls were all mirrors.
"huh." She started walking into the maze, the glass creaking as she walked on it.
"Do remember that walking in a maze can be horrifying and confusing. Don't walk into anything, my dear." The voice taunted. Kali grinned.
"I have a secret for this. I can't get lost when I leave behind a traceable trace." Kali glanced at the blood trail she was leaving behind.
"Oh, you think you can take your time. Oh no no no. That's not how it works in this place." The voice laughed. Kali was confused at first but then saw a shadow, moving inside of the mirrors.
"What the-" She looked at the mirror in confusion.
"Oh, haven't you heard?-" The voice grinned.
"Curiosity killed the cat."
