About a year later

Astrid could hear the party upstairs, it reminded her of the ones her siblings use to throw. They never really were her thing, having to be surrounded by people she didn't like, wanting to talk to her, or have to dance with them. There seemed to be a party almost every other night, it would be the same. loud music peoples footstep would slowly become quieter and less until the quite would finally come. The guards would switch out Roderick would come ask for undeserving gifts again and again and again, until one morning.

"Hello, it's Alex the magus' son" he started walking around the sphere and what almost looked like a rotten corpse on the floor, if it weren't for the very far and few shallow breaths Astrid would take " see I don't know whether either of you can speak or ... even understand me, but, I- I just wanted to ask if you were alright in there?" Morpheus just glared as normal and Alex scoffed at himself "No of course you're not. Im ... im sorry about all of this. He's not a bad man my father, he- he just ....   See , if you could bring Randall back, or , or just give him something, anything. Or even just speak to him" Alex sputtered out, Morpheus looked at Astrid again " then I am sure he would let you out . See I  ... I would let you out, if I could" Morpheus turned to look back at the child almost believing him for a moment.

"You would, would you?" They heard Roderick ask from the door, fear struck Alex as his father stormed over to him, grabbed him by the neck and dragged him out.
Astrid almost felt bad for the boy, she understood the fear that comes with a violently powerful father, a father who practically thought nothing of you.

She heard the boy being grabbed by the back of the neck and dragged up the stairs. "Did he look scared?" Astrid asked. Morpheus looked at her curiously " my eyes in my body are to ... I can not see anything, but I can hear, he sounded scared"

"Yes" he said simply, not exaggerating or under exaggerating, just simply that he was. She could hear a bit of the commotion coming from upstairs, she tried to block it out best she could.

Astrid could see Morpheus Sense something happening, something coming and after a few minutes she hears a ruckus upstairs, then screams. And Jessamy comes flying in through the rafters, She see's Dream smiling at his beloved Raven his heart filling with hope as she starts attempting to break the glass, flying at it.
Dream had told Astrid many wonderful stories about her. She felt something quickly grow inside her too, hope. It filled her, her dead heart wanted to beat as she heard Jessamys beak peck at the glass.

Boom!
Bright red blood, and black feathers decorated the glass in front of him
Morpheus looked down so see the body of his beloved Jessamy dead on the floor, a tear rolled rolled down his face. Just as quickly as the hope had filled her it left as she smelled the blood and gun powder. Astrid's heart broke for Morpheus, she could practically feel his sorrow and grief.

"Idiot, You could have shattered the glass." Roderick scolds his son, ripping the gun out of Alex's hands, the gun that just killed the once lovely Raven. "Clear that mess up"

Alex walks over slowly and picks up the bird and them at lord Morpheus, who was glaring pure hated at the boy, and Alex felt fear before, but nothing like this, this made wish for death as it seemed sweeter.

She longed to be there for Morpheus, to do anything for the being she had cared so much for. She couldn't reach him in either of there minds with out him letting her first, she was to weak.  All she could do was wait till he was ready.

A few weeks later

Roderick stud above Astrid as if she was just a pebble on the floor, arm leaning on the Glass sphere "The women who live with me has gone and robbed me of my fortune. She's also robbed you, she's taken your helm, your sand and your ruby ... now I can unlock this you can go after her. If you give me what I've been asking you" he says like it's simple things he's asking for " youth, fortune, Immortality" he list getting angrier by the syllable, he scoffs " oh, you're a god these thing are nothing to you. Don't you want your weapons and your freedom? Speak to me! Speak to me! Speak to me!" He shout taking his Cain and banging at the glass, fill with pathetic rage"come on! Speak to Me!"
"It's all right, father" Alex says calmly putting his hand on his shoulder
"Get away from me." Roderick shoves his son off "if you were any kind of son to me..." he swings at Alex, and he ducks and grabs the cain, the two wrestle for it "if Randall were alive today-"
"If Randall we're alive he would hate you as much as I do." And shoved him, hard, so hard he slammed his head against the glass and broke his skull. Roderick reached to the back of his head, saw the blood on his fingers, and collapsed to the floor,
""Your never getting out of there, Never!" Alex and the gards tried to save him, but died

Part of Astrid thought 'how pathetic' another only thinking about how close the blood pooling out of his wound was, yet still so far. The guards quickly pulling the body way, and blocking the blood from reaching her.

They watched Alex stand back up and look at them, Morpheus stood up holding out his hand, hoping he would keep the promise he made. The voices of the guards fading around them saying 'no' 'he'll kill us' Alex reached out his hand to meet, the only thing he could hear was his own heart pounding in his ears
"What would your father say!" One of the guard said snapping him out of it
Astrid cursing him in her mind
Morpheus lowered his hand as Alex simply s
said "I need to think about this"

Morpheus looked down at Astrid and welcomed her into his mind. "Are you alright?" He asked her. She knew he was talking about the blood, as still stained the floor.

She had a look completely null of emotion "I can smell it, right next to me, im to weak to move... I've completely desiccated" she takes a deep breath "or I would have obviously gotten us out by now" she says gently at the end. He just raise his eyebrows and nods in agreement. They stand there together together calmly watching a memory of a sun setting somewhere in a clearing in a forest. "Im sorry, about Jessamy". He said nothing.

A few hours later Alex comes back down with a man he say is named Paul,
"Paul, these are our unwilling guest, we've been talking, Paul and I. And if I let you out, will you promise not to harm us." Astrid wanted to laugh, pretending he was a man now, that He had power, he more pathetic then his father, knowing the damage of what he was doing to the world and still doing nothing
"If you could speak to us?" Paul asked still not even sure what he was looking at.
"You see, I told you." Alex said like a child thinking they were proving a point.
"Im telling you, you have to keep trying. Show him that he can trust you. Show him that you mean it"
"I do mean it, just promise you won't harm me or Paul and I will let you out, both of you"
Astrid longed to be free, but she also know she could make no promises for a being such as him, and she understood why he said nothing to the New head of Burgers estate.

Astrid listen to them walk way, she sat on a lounge chair in front of a large window her and her family lived in, in the 1700's. Dream came and sat down with her, she could see conflict in him, in his eyes.

"I am sorry..." he sounded confused in how to say this "I, but I can not" he struggled to try and find the right words "I can not simply let-"

"I know" Astrid interrupted "I understand" she said simply, looking at him calmly and truthfully. Relief flooded him. He had only imagined her in anger, disgust or distain for not getting them out of there, not understanding. Not that he was not great full for his 'friend' did not hate him, but part of the confusion held firm. She could tell as he did not hide it in his face. "I could never accept that deal, let alone expect you to" she let out a small sigh " I know what he, they have done to you is not something that can be pardoned" she turn to him with just a small smirk grazing her face said "im more then willing to wait how ever long it takes to right the wrong that have been done to you, they will pay"
Morpheus had spent almost 12 years with Astrid, she never cease to amaze him. Her strength, her wisdom, her patience, her open mind, her thirst for knowledge, and now her understanding. He briefly recalled memory's and story from her, her parents, other witches, wolves, even vampires, how could any being think Astrid Mikaelson was less then extraordinary. " and to you"
Now it was her turn to look confused, but before she could speak "your body lays desiccated in pain in front of me, you were stolen to strength a prison as if some object, taken from your life and your family, this will not be forgiven" he left no room for disagreement. Astrid didn't want to look at him, the stirring flurry in her was already strong enough, but she had to. He just stared at her, she couldn't tell exactly what emotion was beneath, just that he was waiting for her. For her to agree, to approve, waiting for her to understand that her injustice was his. Only showing through her eyes she smiled, and nodded.
