"WELCOME FIRST YEARS!" Professor Nelson was the instructor of Broom Flight. For first year students this class was mandatory. "I AM PROFESSOR NELSON!" What was there to say about this olive-skinned, brown eyed, long brown hair which was braided, beauty of a woman? Well...She seemed to be very energetic and believed that first year students could achieve broom flying if they believed in themselves. "I WILL BE INSTRUCTING YOU ON HOW TO FLY A BROOM ELEGANTLY SO YOU CAN PARTICIPATE IN COMPEITIONS!" Now Nelson knew about Sume. Nelson knew about Diana. Nelson knew about most of the first year students. Except... "EH!?" For one. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!? THIS IS AN ALL FEMALE ACADEMY!" This was her question to Owen when she saw him among the first year students.
"It's a long story." Said Owen. "But regardless, I'm here. And if I'm worthy, I'd like to learn broom flight from you. You seem to know a lot about it, don'tcha?"
"O-O-Of course I do." Nelson blushed, turning away from Oshua, "I don't need to hear that from the likes of you!"
"Uh..." Said Owen, "Right." He chuckles
"Miss Blossom and Miss Cavendish, please demonstrate how it's done." The reason why Professor Nelson chose these two was because both Sakura and Diana were born prodigies. Kiki was a second year student, so she didn't need to attend Broom Flight. The two girls leapt off of the balcony with their brooms in hand and then used their magic to help them fly in the air. "See how natural they are?" Professor Nelson asked her class. "If they can do it, you can too. Kagari! You're up!"
Akko paled. "M-Me? Why me?"
"Because you got that look that defines Power!" Said Professor Nelson. "Come on girly! Don't be shy!"
"Take Owen instead!" Said Akko, clinging to Owen for dear life. "Owen, please do me this solid!" She begged, "Don't let'er take me! Don't let'er take me!"
"Too Late!" Professor Nelson pulls Akko away from Owen, gives Akko a broom and has the girl standing at the edge of the balcony. Akko was scared. She had every reason to be sacred. This woman was going to be the literal death of her. "Come on, girly, we don't have all day!" Professor Nelson said. Then waiting for 10 minutes, "WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!?" Nelson smacks Akko off the edge with her broom. "HURRY UP AND FLY ALREADY!"
'AY-AY-AY!' Owen thought, 'I KNOW SHE DIDN'T JUST DO WHAT I THINK SHE DID!' "Professor Nelson, are you Insane!?" He asked
"She'll be fine!" She said, "Trust me, I got experience in this field, you said that yourself...Didn'tcha?"
"Funny." Said Owen, "All jokes aside she could-" He pauses when he sees Akko zipping around on her broom. But it was like the broom had a mind of its own. When the broom stopped flying, Owen decided that it was time to take action. Lightning bends around his body, accelerating his energy to a point that, in a blink of an eye, Akko was in Owen's arms while her broom was stuck in a tree before falling to the ground.
"...Huh?" Akko fluttered her eyes, looking to the left and to the right. "What happened?"
"I saved you." Owen replied. "That's what happened. I wanted to save you sooner, but Professor Nelson had so much faith in your abilities. Not to say that it was a bad thing...But still...You could have gotten hurt. And I wasn't gonna let that happen. So...Yeah."
"...Did you see that?" Lotte asked
"It was only a blur." Said Hannah
"But he moved at such a speed...While at the same time...Timing the mircoseconds regarding saving Akko." Said Barbra.
Professor Nelson was speechless. 'I didn't hear him when he moved.' She thought to herself. 'That kid...Whatever he is...He's got something that can be great in the future. Maybe he belongs here after all. Maybe. Just Maybe.'
