childe had left to go back to liyue and wanderer was left alone in the apartment. it was oddly silent as he read the book.
the silence seems to betting louder. the sound of his own thoughts and the gushing wind. he sat on the bed and sighed before putting the book on the nightstand and lay on the bed.
The apartment felt emptier without Childe's presence. Wanderer lay on the bed, staring at the ceiling, listening to the distant sound of the wind outside. The silence was heavy, almost suffocating, contrasting starkly with the lively conversations and warm laughter that usually filled the space when Childe was around.
He reached over to the nightstand and picked up the book he had been reading, but the words seemed to blur together. His thoughts drifted to Childe, wondering what he was doing in Liyue, if he was safe, and when they would see each other again.
Wanderer let out a deep sigh, placing the book back on the nightstand. He rolled onto his side, curling up under the blanket, trying to find comfort in the fabric's warmth. The memories of their time together replayed in his mind—the shared meals, the playful banter, the quiet moments of intimacy.
The silence felt oppressive, and Wanderer decided to do something to break it. He got up and moved to the small table where he kept his stationary supplies. Taking out a piece of paper and a pen, he began to write a letter to Childe. The act of putting his feelings into words was soothing.

Dear Childe,
The apartment feels emptier without you here. I miss our conversations, your annoying teasing, and even the way you clutter up the place with flowers. The silence is almost too much to bear, but thinking about you helps. I hope Liyue is treating you well.
I've been thinking a lot about our times together. Remember the hot springs? Or when you insisted on calling me silly names? It's these moments that make me smile, even when you're far away. I look forward to the day you return, so we can create more memories.
Take care of yourself. I'll be here, waiting.
Yours,

Wanderer folded the letter carefully and set it aside. He knew he would find a way to send it to Childe soon. Writing it had helped to alleviate some of the loneliness, giving him a sense of connection despite the distance.
He then moved to the small kitchen area, deciding to make himself some tea. The familiar ritual of boiling water, steeping the tea leaves, and waiting for the perfect brew provided a comforting distraction. As he sipped the warm tea, he gazed out the window, watching the snow fall gently outside.
Even though the silence was still there, Wanderer felt a bit more at peace. He knew that this was just a temporary separation and that soon enough, Childe would return. And until then, he would hold onto the memories and look forward to their next reunion.
