Wanderer sat on the bench with Zen beside him, eating chicken mushroom skewers. "Don't eat too fast, some of those might end up stuck in your throat."

Zen nodded, slowing his pace. Wanderer looked down at the puppet, memories of his past flooding his mind—his mother's abandonment, the countless betrayals. He quickly shook his head, focusing on the present instead.

"Dad, you should have some," Zen said, offering a skewer. Wanderer smiled, accepting it. "Alright," he replied, taking a bite.

They ate in companionable silence for a while, enjoying the peaceful evening. The bond between them was growing stronger each day, a testament to Childe's love and Wanderer's dedication.

As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the landscape, Wanderer felt a deep sense of contentment. Despite the hardships, he had found a new purpose and a new family in Zen and Raven.

Zen looked up at Wanderer, his eyes shining with curiosity. "Can we visit the hot springs again, Dad? I liked it there."

Wanderer chuckled softly. "Of course, Zen. We'll go soon. Maybe this weekend."

Zen's face lit up with excitement. "Yay! Thank you, Dad!"

Wanderer ruffled Zen's hair affectionately. "Anything for you, Zen. Anything to make you happy."

They finished their meal and continued their walk, enjoying the simple pleasure of being together. Wanderer knew there would always be challenges ahead, but with Zen by his side, he felt ready to face whatever came their way.

Day after day, they spent time together. But today, they visited Childe's tombstone. Wanderer placed a bouquet down and sat beside it, with Zen following suit.

"Hey, Ajax... We came by to pay a visit. I'm not gonna lie... The few weeks after your passing, it’s been quiet. But your ridiculous idea of making a puppet child... keeps me company." Wanderer spoke, a weak smile on his lips.

Zen suddenly got up and noticed a few hilichurls nearby. "Dad! Dad! Look! This hilichurl is gonna die!" he exclaimed, running towards them.

Wanderer quickly got up. "Oh my gods... Zen! Can't you go five minutes without beating up everything you see?! You're just like your father!" he shouted, approaching Zen and sighing.

As Wanderer reached Zen, he grabbed his shoulder and pulled him back gently. "Zen, we’re here to pay respects to your father, not to start fights. Let's go back."

Zen looked up at Wanderer with a sheepish expression. "Sorry, Dad. I just wanted to show you how strong I am."

Wanderer softened, kneeling down to Zen’s level. "I know you’re strong, Zen. But there’s a time and place for everything. Right now, let’s focus on honoring your father’s memory, okay?"

Zen nodded, his eyes earnest. "Okay, Dad."

They walked back to Childe's tombstone, and Wanderer took a deep breath, feeling the weight of loss mixed with the joy of the new life he had with Zen.

"We miss you, Ajax," Wanderer said softly. "But we'll keep moving forward. Zen and I will make you proud."

Zen stood beside Wanderer, looking up at the tombstone. "We'll be strong, just like you, Father."

As they sat together in silence, the bond between them grew stronger, anchored by the love and legacy that Childe had left behind.
