27th June 2019, part three...

Jay was at the funeral parlour with the police and on the phone...

Jay: "I thought it'd be done by now. It's taking forever."

Ruby: "It's fine. Ben's here, keeping me company. Just get here when you can."

Billy walked over, putting another bottle down on the table.

Ruby: "Yeah. Okay."

Ben grabbed the bottle and a glass, and Ruby hung up the phone.

"Uh, I hope you're paying for that. Don't just assume it's all on me." Ruby said.

"It's not like you're short of a few quid, is it?" Ben asked, pouring her a glass.

"Oh, don't you start." Ruby mumbled.

Ben chuckled.

"Look, I know Jay's not the most exciting bloke in the world and... and yeah, a few years ago, I wouldn't look twice at him, but he's good for me. You know there's no surprise." Ruby tells Ben.

Ben laughed.

"No. That sounds awful. I don't mean it like that. I had too many of these." Ruby murmured.

"Don't worry, I won't squeal." Ben says.

A guy stood there, staring at Ruby.

"Oh, Jay, better get here quick. Look like he's got some competition." Ben tells Ruby.

"Yeah. Hardly." Said Ruby.

"Okay, I'll be your shield." Ben muttered, putting his arm over Ruby.
