6th August 2019, part four...
Ben and Jay walked back into Phil's room, sitting on the couch and seeing a doctor with Phil...
"It's always gonna be like this, innit? Till one of us kills the other one." Ben whispered.
"Well, not today." Jay mumbled.
"You think you'll end up with Lo? Marriage and that?" Ben asked.
"I don't know." Jay muttered.
"I thought me and Danielle were forever. All the women I get close to, one of them ends up getting killed because... she was holding my hand." Ben said.
The doctor stood up straighter, staring over at Ben and Jay.
"Everything all right?"
"Yeah, it is, so wind your neck in." Ben says.
"Back in a moment."
"Well, take your time, yeah?" Ben asked, staring at him.
He walked out of the room, Jay turned to Ben.
"Don't take it out on him. Look, Ben. I know what losing Danielle did to you, but you will find someone else. Remember why you came back here, hey? New start. You're a good bloke." Jay said.
Ben scoffed.
"A good bloke?" Ben asked, laughing softly and staring at Jay. "You wanna know why I came back here, Jay?"
Jay rolled his eyes, Ben pointed at Phil.
"I came back to take him down, to rinse him, and Lola's in on it." Ben tells Jay.
"Sorry? Sorry, Lola's in on it?" Asked Jay.
"I wanna take everything from him. I want to ruin him, break him down. I want to see him on his knees, begging me for help..." Ben said.
Phil's eyes fluttered as they opened.

"And when he does, I'm gonna walk away and laugh. All I have done since getting back is build the business. The Mitchell name. What do I get? I don't even get a passing mention in the will because I do not exist. And you know what, mate, I'm never gonna exist." Ben muttered.
"Make him notice you. If he's that important to you, stop whining about it and make him care. You have got to stop all this hate. It's doing you more damage than it is him. He is not a god; he's a man. He's a man who doesn't like to talk about his feelings; his life is cars and watching boxing, but you can't change him, but you can change you." Jay muttered.
"Why should I?" Asked Ben.
"For your daughter. His old man made him feel worthless. You're saying he does the same thing to you, so it's up to you to break the cycle. Think about Lexi. She's the future now. Do you know how lucky you are? You've got a daughter who idolises you. Who would do anything to please you? Does that remind you of anyone?" Jay asked, staring at Ben.
Jay grabbed Ben's shoulder, pointing his finger at Phil.
"He wouldn't hurt you so much if you didn't still love him." Jay says.
"But why doesn't he love me back?" Asked Ben.
"He does. He does; you just don't see it. If it's respect for his approval, you're not gonna get it if you kill him, are you?" Jay asked.
Ben shakes his head, Ben and Jay rested their foreheads against each other.
