Chapter 4
Invite"You look nice in your uniform, anyway." Primo said on our way to the gate. "Bagay sayo," dagdag niya at tipid na ngumiti.
"Uh, thank you. Malaki nga eh," pag-amin ko at dungaw saking bagong uniform.
It was the last quarter last year when I transferred here. The University didn't require me to purchase a uniform because it was already too late for me. Ngayon lang ako nakabili sa University Enterprise at medyo malaki nga sakin.
The white polo was fine for my upper body, along with a short stripe green and yellow neck tie. Iyong skirt ko lang ang medyo mahaba. The skirt is also a stripe of green and yellow.
"That's okay. You still look pretty with it."
I noticed that Primo compliments so well na halos natural lang.
It didn't make me feel awkward.
Mas binilisan ko nga lang ang lakad. That is because I don't know what to feel and to say.
Primo is still walking beside me. He's now walking beside the sidewalk.
You look good in your uniform too.
Pero hindi ko masabi. His slacks highlighted the length of his firm legs.
"I didn't know you were a real snob."
Napasinghap ako at nilingon siya. "I didn't know you are this straight forward," sabi ko kahit na parang may kumiliti saking tyan saglit dahil sa boses niya.
He really looks immaculately handsome!
He smiled simply at my remarks.
"Better to be than being corny," kaswal na sagot niya.
The only redeeming factor is that—he always complies with his assignments and activities the day before the deadline or exactly on the deadline.
I am surprised too, how he still manage to ace our quizzes. One time, he got a perfect score in our Math subject. Sobrang hirap na halos umapak ako ng 10 over 20. And then to Primo, it seems easy. Not to mention that he arrived late, with his black guitar bag on his shoulder and looked sleepless.
Probably because he had a gig last night. Bakit ko alam? I saw pictures of him from his friends on social media.
The whole look of the bistro cannot be seen from the videos and pictures dahil halos lahat ng naka-tag sa kanya ay mga pictures niya lang.
