Chapter 7

Freen's pov

After the day at hospital, I've been talking to Becky daily, like we exchanged our numbers and we text eachother time to time.

Today we 4 were gonna meet up at a bar. Just a friendly drinking night. It was Nam's idea. Apparently Nam wants to treat them for their help. I said okay cause me and Nam wants to unwind a little from the paperworks. It's not like we hate the job. We love it. But sometimes paper works sucks.

Me and Nam were the first one to reach the bar. It was a rooftop Korean bar, and it was so peaceful. We found an empty table. We both sat and ordered some beers and Soju for us with hotspot and some other dishes.

After 5 minutes we saw irin coming, we waved our hands and she cem towards us and sat beside Nam. I was a little disappointed thinking Becky couldn't make it. I couldn't text her all day cause I was busy with work. I took my phone to text her.

"Heyyyy, girl where's Becky" Nam asked as soon as we greeted each other.

"She's talking to her sister, she'll be up here soon" irin Said and an instant smile crept on my face.

"Hey, sorry for being late" I heard the sweet voice. I felt nervous a bit. But when i looked at her face everything around me just became slow. She smiled at me and i returned the smiles.

"You are not late Becky" Nam said.

"We ordered a few things, if you guys want anything order it" Nam said and smiled. At the same time the waiter came with the food and drinks.

"Oh finally, I've been craving for a hotspot" irin said while the waiter set everything for us. After the waiter left we all took some drinks and cheered. We talked, ate and drank a lot.

"So what are you guys doing in Cheng Mai" Nam asked when they told us that they were form Bangkok.

"We needed a break, and change from the scenario. And we never got time for ourselves after graduating" irin said and i nodded.

"What major did you take" i asked

"Buisness " irin said

"Law and business" Becky said. Wow that's impressive.

"Wow, that's great. You both look young like you guys just graduated from college" Nam said and they chuckled.

"Nahh, we graduated 4 years ago" Becky said.

"Oh, we graduated 2 years ago" Nam said.

"So a lawyer huh" i asked Becky who just shrugged.

"It must be fun, and intresting in the court " Nam asked

"I actually quit" Becky said and we both looked at her to continue.

"So when i graduated from the college i got into a big firm as an intern. I worked there as an intern for a year. And there was this case. A medical malpractice actually. The doctor was a friend of mine. She asked for my help cause no one wants to take her side. But I know she was innocent and she's a good person. So i defended her, and my defending lawyer was the head of the firm I was working. I almost won the case" she paused and drank chugged some beee.

"Then what happened " Nam asked.

"The director of the hospital, did some dirty works and corrupted all the evidence I gave. And I lost the case and they framed me for using fake evidence. I lost my licence of being a lawyer." Becky said and finished the beer.

"That's a bitchy thing to do" Nam said

"Yeah that assholes" I said and Becky chuckled.

"How's your work today, I heard you both have a lot of paperwork" Becky spoke. Diverting our attention

"It's never ending work Becks" I said and let out a sigh.

"Yeah, and we have to find a piano teacher for the children in the sunflower orphanage. And it's becoming a pain in the ass" Nam said

"Why? What happened " Irin asked

"Most of the persons we approached demanded more money, even though we offered a good amount of money from the budget" I said.

"Oh that's bad" Becky said and we all took a shots.

"Oh, Becky could help you guys" irin said

"How" i asked

"She knows how to play piano, she's good at it" irin said and Becky glared at her.

"That's great, please help us one more time Becky. It could be a new profession for you and it will help those little kids. Think about it Becky" Nam said. We can saw that she's a little tipsy. I saw Becky being uncfortablbke.

"It's okay if you don't want to, no pressure, okay?" i said and assured her with a smile.

"It's not like I don't want to help the kids or you guys, it's just....." She paused. She took a heavy sigh

"I haven't played since my parents died " she said and i felt bad for her.

"I'm sorry Becky " I said and squeezed her hand.

"It's fine, it was long ago. But I'll think about the offer" she said and smiled. I was about to say something when her phone rang again. She immediately took it.

"Hey baby, you haven't slept yet" Becky asked

"Ohoo, it's pretty late na. Sleep" she cooed. She was talking sweetly to whomever the person was. And i wasn't liking it.

"Yeah I love you a lot Belle. Mwaahhh. Now sleep baby" she said and smiled.

"Ohooo, you have a girlfriend and you didn't said anything about it" Nam asked and Becky just chuckled

"She's not my girlfriend" Becky denied

"Who else would that be, you were talking so sweetly like she's your Child" I said

"She is my child" Becky said and i felt heartbroken. It's not like we are dating or I'm in love with her. I shouldn't feel like this.

"Oh, you are already married?? And already have a baby" Nam asked which iritated me more. But i haven't seen any ring on her finger. I scoffed at my annoyance.

"She's my niece and I'm very much single for a long time and very much available right now" Becky said looking directly into my eyes. I felt hot all of a sudden. I looked away from her.

"So you are interested in someone" Nam asked which caught my attention and i looked towards Becky again.

"Yeah only for a certain Burnett" she said looking into my eyes. Damn this girl is flirting with me directly. I bit my lower lip in nervousness.

I heard a thud sound and saw my friend who passed out. I looked at irin who already passed out a while ago.

"I should probably take irin to our home" Becky said still not breaking the eye contact.

"Actually my place is near, and it's already late. Why don't you both crash there for tonight" i offered. And i really don't know when i got this bold or why I did invite her over.

"I don't want to burden you and you live with your mom right, we don't want to disturb her too" Becky said

"Mom went to visit her sister, so there won't be any problem, and it's so late and we all are drunk" I said with concern. She smiled and accepted the offer. The ride back to my home was short. We both helped each other carry our friends.

We put them both on the guest room and I brought her to my room.

As soon as the door closed, i felt nervous again.

She came closer towards me, i could feel her getting closer.

"F-freen" .... She called and i gulped down.
