"Someone's in a bad mood," JJ said, raising his hands as Sonny pushed past him to get out the twinkie. Seven people pushed its capacity. It was sweaty.
"Aren't you?" Sonny shot back at him.
And he was.
Actually, JJ was in as bad a mood as Sonny. Not because it bothered him — having to lie to pawn the gold. JJ spent most days lying his ass off without getting money in return, so the fact it was worth so much was just a plus. No, JJ was in a bad mood because Kiara had spent all morning melting the gold down, only for it to be a waste of time, because she'd done a terrible job. It was hardly even melted.
