Circe is feeling something she has never felt before- excited to go back to school. It is a well known fact that she isn't one to focus on her education, but her lessons aren't what she's excited about. She's excited about being able to see Remus every day again, that and finally being able to decipher what the voices surrounding Damocles Belby are trying to tell her.

After their kiss on New Year's Eve, the two of them have hardly talked. The atmosphere between the two of them was rather awkward and they couldn't look each other in the eye. All of the progress the two of them had made so far with their flirty banter and their overall relationship has seemingly disappeared. Remus has regressed back into a blushing stuttering mess around the girl, like he was when they had first met. Circe isn't much better, the confidence she had when it comes to flirting with the boy has gone and now she too is a blushing mess.

Their kiss made all of it too real and neither one of them know where to go from there- especially after the moment had been ruined by the two trolls that the pair of them call friends. "Trolls," she says sternly, huffing when she sees James and Sirius whispering to one another in their compartment. "Pretty boy."

Remus' eyes flicker up from his book and he gives Circe a shaky smile. "Hello." He replies, averting his eyes as his face turns a deep shade of crimson. The boy can't believe that he almost admitted his feelings towards her the other night. This whole situation is giving the boy a headache as he wonders whether he should tell her how she makes him feel, and it certainly doesn't help that it is the full moon tomorrow night.

The brunette takes a seat next to him, but neither of them can work out how to strike up a conversation. They sit in silence, listening to James, Sirius and Peter plan out all of the pranks they'll be getting up to. Every so often, Circe's eyes will flicker over to Remus' face and she soaks in every inch of the boys beauty. He looks so transfixed in his book, although she can tell his only reading it to distract himself from looking over at her.

"Lily!" James says excitedly when the compartment door slides open, revealing his girlfriend. He leaps up and pulls the girl into a passionate kiss.

Circe and Remus make eye contact, both of them recalling their own kiss, but quickly swivel theirs heads in the opposite direction as both of their faces turn a deep shade of crimson.

Lily has to practically shove James away from her as the boy doesn't seem to care that the both of them need oxygen, he's far more interested in showing his girlfriend how much that he has missed her. "How are you all doing?"

"Just great." Circe grumbles sarcastically, crossing her arms and glaring daggers at her friends. It's their fault that her and Remus are in this predicament in the first place. She doesn't really blame them but she needs an outlet to express her anger over the situation her and Remus are in.

"Again, I'm really sorry." Lily tells the two of them, she gives them an apologetic smile.

Circe shakes her head, knowing that she's been pissy at her and the boys for no reason. "There's no need."

Remus stays silent as he's still unsure about how to feel about the whole mistletoe thing. It had absolutely given him the push he needed and he's the one who had screwed it up. Circe has been clear about her feelings towards him since day one, he's the one who needs to tell her that he feels the exact same way about her. "It's forgotten."

"In that case, it's time for our rounds." Lily tells him, referring to the their role as prefects to supervise the other students on the train. The boy slides his book into his trunk and leaves without another word, still completely lost in thought.

Sirius sighs in relief. "Godric's balls, I thought I was going to suffocate with all that tension." He collapses back into his seat and all of his limbs hang loosely off the bench.
