Circe has spent three hours in the hellish company of Damocles Belby and she's just about ready to off herself. If it weren't for Remus she would have given up trying to find out the ingredients for the wolfsbane potion ages ago. Despite the mental anguish she's currently in, the girl has managed to find out a number of different ingredients since she has started meeting up with him after lessons finish.

Wolfsbane leaves (obviously), a powered moonstone, mandrake leaves and dragon blood.

She figures she still has quite awhile to go yet before she gets all of them, but that doesn't stop her from tinkering around with the potion in an abandoned classroom. It's never been her best subject, not that she used to go to any of her classes, but spells are easy and potions aren't.

"Look at the time."  Circe says, glancing down at her nonexistent watch. "I promised I would help Lily out with something."

Damocles stops mid-sentence and frowns. It has become blatantly clear that the Hufflepuff has started dating Remus Lupin, but in his opinion that's just simply because she sees him around more. If Circe would spend at least a fraction of that time with him, he's almost positive that she wouldn't be able to resist his charms. "Oh, okay-"

"I'll see you tomorrow." The brunette collects her things and heads down to the dungeons, not even sparing him a second look as she leaves. She feels a little bad about just using the boy but it's not exactly like he's approaching her with pure intentions either.

Damocles spots Lily just as Circe has left his line of sight. "Hey, Evans." He greets the ginger girl. "Circe has just gone to look for you, said you needed her help with something."

Lily hums. She certainly didn't ask for Circe's help with anything, but knowing the Hufflepuff she probably only wanted to escape from the boy. "Oh, right." She nods, not blowing the girl's cover. Circe definitely owes her after this. "Thanks."

The ginger scurries off in the direction that Damocles had pointed her in and sees Circe turning down one of the old corridors. Perhaps she had been wrong, maybe her only reason for lying to the boy hadn't been to escape him after all. Her first thought would be that she's having a secret rendezvous with Remus, but she had just seen him with the boys in the great hall so that can't be it.

Whatever she's doing seems more than suspicious and whilst she trusts the girl with her life, she's curious as to what she's doing skulking around abandoned corridors. "Ce?" Lily asks poking her head into the classroom.

Circe jumps up in surprise and slams her notebook shut. "Lily!" She gives her friend an awkward smile, trying to cover the cauldron on the desk with her body. "What are you doing here?"

"I think the better question is, what are you doing here?" Lily quirks up her eyebrow questioningly and peers around Circe.

"Nothing!" Circe replies quickly, too quickly. She sighs knowing that Lily is going to let it go. "I'm trying to make a potion."

With ingredients scattered around the desk and the cauldron, that much is obvious. However Circe isn't one to do extra curricular activities, nor is she one to put any extra effort into the homework she does bother to complete. "What kind of potion?"

Circe bites her lip. She probably isn't going to figure this out herself and she had told Remus to take a step back away from helping her, fearing that she's just getting her hopes up for nothing. Lily is excellent at potions and can probably speed this whole process up by leaps and bounds. "Look, you can't tell anyone. Okay?" She hands the notebook over to her friend.

Lily's eyes widen in surprise when she reads the words written across the top of the first page. "A wolfsbane potion?" There's a few different ingredients scribbled on the page. She flips through the book, only every page there's a failed attempt. It appears that Circe's crossing out every possible method by trial and error. The notes in the margins suggest that she's slowly getting closer but it will still be a while before she gets anywhere. "That's... genius."
