"What was that about?" James asks Remus, not having missed the boy practically brushing Circe off as she walked into the Gryffindor common room. He joins him and Peter on the sofa, with Sirius following right behind him.

Remus shrugs with a downhearted expression on his face. "I don't know what to say to her." He grumbles quietly, which the boys almost miss due to the loud music. "I mean- I almost told her how I feel on New Year's."

"Why didn't you?" Sirius asks him, with a completely baffled expression. The entire group has been trying to get the two of them together since the beginning of the year and it's beginning to grow tedious.

"Because you idiots interrupted me." He tells them, looking slightly peeved. The boy tired runs his hands over his face as he tries to explain how he feels to them. "Circe is... she's just so perfect and I'm- well- me. I didn't even think that she really considered me as a romantic option for her until recently."

"Moony..." James sighs, hating that his friend can't see how amazing he is. Not to mention the fact that he is completely oblivious to how head over heels in love with him Circe is. "Shadow doesn't have any romantic options, there's only you."

Remus blinks. "I know that now, I just don't know why."

"Why don't you ask her and find out why?" Sirius suggests, nothing that they say is going to get through to the boy- they learnt that a long time ago- he has to come to these sort of realisations himself.

The boy's eyes scan over the room, searching for the girl that consumes his thoughts at every waking moment. The girl that has made him feel things that he has never felt before. The only person he has ever felt like a normal person around. The one that can make him happy and cheerful even when the full moon is only a day away. He's seriously felt her absence today and he had almost forgotten that pain that came with full moon until it all resurfaced when she wasn't glued to his side.

When he finds her, a scowl creeps it's way onto his face when he sees that she is happily chatting to Damocles Belby- a boy that he has been worried about since the day he appeared in Circe's life. "I'm her only romantic option, huh?" He scoffs at the boys, pointing over at the two.

James, Sirius and Peter all swivel their heads around and frown at the sight. Circe looks way too cheerful to be around a boy she has described as dreadful, boring and a sleaze. "Maybe it's not what it looks like." Peter suggests.

Remus doesn't respond, he sits frozen in place, not removing his eyes away from the pair. The grip on the bottle in his hand tightens as he watches the blonde dare to hug her. Even more so when Damocles grabs her hand and pulls her over to the sofa at the other end of the room.

"Hey- uh- Moony do you want another drink?" James suggests, trying to distract the boy. He knows that it most certainly isn't what Remus is thinking but it definitely looks like it from where they are sitting.

"I'm fine." He responds in a low tone, the anger that comes along with his other symptoms before the full moon paired with the fiery jealousy coursing through his veins are a dangerous mix.

Remus watches as the blonde continues to shuffle his way closer to Circe, and the girl he has been crushing on- the one that usually tells other boys to 'piss off'- doesn't do anything to stop him. In fact, she seems to be quite happy as she continues to chat to him. If her plan is to make him jealous, then it's certainly working.

He begins to shake his leg as he impatiently waits for Circe to stay, taking rapid chugs of beer from the bottle that is tightly clasped in his hand. When Damocles finally leans in, he notices how Circe's eyes flicker over to him and how a small grin appears on her face when she seems him staring at her.
