"Maybe before curfew, we can sneak out somewhere." Circe whispers into Remus' ear, causing his face to flush red. His eyes dary around the room, scanning over James, Peter, and Lily's face to make sure that they hadn't heard. Circe honestly finds it adorable how bashful he still gets.
The two of them are curled up on he boy's bed as they all discuss their plans for the summer, which is coming up soon. Neither Circe nor Remus can believe that it hasn't been a year yet since they first met as so much has happened since then. Despite spending pretty much every second of the day together, they still feel like they have to spend even more time together before the summer as they won't be able to see each other as often.
Remus chuckles, resting his chin on top of Circe's head with a content sigh. "We can't. We still haven't agreed on when we'll meet up." He argues, knowing James will go on a rampage if they don't solidify a single day that they can all meet up. "Besides, there's that other thing we need to talk about."
The brunette groans, clearly not even wanting to discuss talking about it. "Do we need to?" It's been almost a week since the whole full moon incident had happened, and they are still all icing Sirius out. Remus thinks it's about time to forgive him, and Peter will follow his lead on that. Circe and James, on the other hand, won't even broach the subject. "He can rot for all I care."
"Are you two even listening to a word I'm saying?" James asks the couple angrily. He's trying to sort out a group meeting, perhaps even for them all to go on a trip together, and not a single one of them are cooperating.
Circe purses her lips, unsure if telling him the truth is the best course of action in this situation. "Er - yeah?"
He puts his hands on his hips and narrows his eyes at them. "What was the last thing I said?"
"That we should all meet up at some point?" Remus guesses - knowing that that probably wasn't the last thing James had said. Given the harsh glare he's sending them, it mist definitely isn't. "Mate, we've still got another month to figure all that stuff out. Why don't we just talk about it another day, when we aren't all ready to go to bed?"
"Sweetheart, maybe he's right." Lily tries to persuade him. She's already tucked tightly into James' bed with her eyemask half covering her eyes as he stares at the blank calendar in front of him.
When Lily agrees, the stressed expression melts away, and James nods. If anyone can make him change his mind, it's Lily. "Alright." He sighs. "I am pretty tired."
"But Prongs, I still haven't written down what days I'm not free." Peter argues. James chucks the sharpie over to him, muttering a 'have at it' as he clambers into bed beside Lily. The boy runs over to the comically large calendar and lots down the days that he's busy.
"That girl has him whipped." Remus chuckles under his breath to Circe, who enthusiastically nods along.
The brunette giggles as she leans in closer to his touch. Despite the fact that they're now in the summer months, the interior of the castle still remains as cold as ever. Even the jumper she had stolen from him a few months ago isn't enough to keep her warm, so she has to rely on her boyfriend for warmth. "I wonder if she can convince him to stop being so irritating."
"I heard that!" James snaps from the bed across the room.
Circe cracks a grin before lifting her head up off Remus' shoulder to look at him. "I bet you did, big ears." Her smile dropping when a pillow hits her square in the face. "Sod off, you troll. I was only joking."
Remus snatches the pillow up and tosses it back over to James, only it hits Lily - who was already half asleep by the looks of it. "Oops, sorry, Lils." He apologises quickly.
