Reina ran back to her chamber, breathless and her mind a chaotic swirl of emotions. Her father's harsh words echoed in her ears, their weight pressing down on her chest like a physical burden. She felt on the verge of a panic attack, her breaths coming in short, shallow gasps. Seeing her in such distress, Elara rushed to fetch the royal doctor, leaving Reina alone in the room.
As she struggled to catch her breath, a strange sensation washed over Reina. She felt detached from her body, as if she were an observer of her own pain. A wave of fear surged through her, but it was an unfamiliar fear, deeper and more profound than anything she had ever known. Her vision blurred, and for a moment, she felt as if she were floating, untethered from her surroundings.
"What's happening to me?" Reina whispered to herself, clutching the edge of the bed for support. "Why can't I remember anything?"
Her mind raced with questions, each one more disorienting than the last. She felt an overwhelming sense of loss, not just for her mother, but for something more elusive, something just beyond her grasp. The walls of her chamber seemed to close in on her, and she struggled to remember the comforting details of her life—her name, her family, her purpose.
In the midst of her turmoil, a faint voice echoed in her mind. It was gentle, soothing, and achingly familiar.
"Reina," the voice whispered. "You are stronger than you know."
