“Well, what do you think?” The blonde stared at the small recorder. Ronald smiled at him. This boy may be older than her, but he was much more childish. “Do you think that I should hire her?”
“I think it would be fun but I don’t know,” he glanced at Ronald. “You should ask the others, they are more mature than I am.”
“I already asked them.” Ronald glanced down at the recorder he had stuck to the bottom of the table. “When I said that she was pretty they agreed immediately. I want an opinion from you because you may be childish sometimes, but you have your serious moments and that’s why I’m asking you; because sometimes you don’t think with your penis.”
The boy glanced up and smiled a beatific smile. “I like how she talks down to you as if you’re the one trying to get the job. She seems very responsible, especially when talking about her sister, her voice barely wavered when she said that her sister has cancer.”
“Yes, I checked into that,” Ronald looked down onto the file that Rhun had given to him. The real file that had held the truth would never be seen by their eyes. “Apparently she had it when she was younger and she hasn’t had it again, but she goes in every month to check for any tumors. They don’t live with her mother. Rhun has been supporting both of them since Rhun turned fourteen. And she also has been going to school, and is very smart according to the IQ charts. She is perfect for the job; the only problem is you boys.”
“You mean, everyone else with their trying to hump anything that has breasts and moves?’’ He said with a raised eyebrow. “And you-know-who just waiting to jump on anyone that shows interest?”
“Not to be as crass as you, but yes,” Ronald pursed his lips. “I want to trust you boys, to not mess with this girl. She’s had a lot of problems and frankly, I just want you guys off my back for a few minutes of the day!”
“We’re not that bad, surely?” He smirked as Ronald ran his fingers through his dark grey hair.
“Yes, oh God you boys can be,” Ronald blew out his breath in a single burst that blew over him.
“Chicken?” He smirked at Ronald.
“What?”
“Did you have chicken for lunch?”
“What does that have to do with anything?”
“I can smell it.”
“Stay on topic!”
“You’re the one who’s breathing all over me,” he barely held in his laughter as Ronald looked around him in frustration. “Alright, I’m sorry.”
“Just don’t do that to her,” Ronald said trying to imagine him being beaten to death by Rhun with a stapler while trying-and failing-not to smile. “Most likely she’ll beat you to death.”
He smiled. “I can’t wait to meet her.”
