Solange's POV:

After I got tired of Angie, I decided to go to someone I know wouldn't judge me. After all, she's the one that got me into this predicament in the first place.

Courtney.

I texted that I was outside and she came to open the door. "Hey Solo." Her face showed no emotion. She was probably still upset I told her that we could never have a relationship because I was still in love with Michelle. "Thank you for this. Seriously."

She walked me to the elevator and we waited for it to come down. "My buzzer is broken." I nodded to show I was listening.

"I have no idea when it's getting fixed," she looked at me for a second. "You probably don't know how that feels." My head tilted slightly. "What do you mean?"

"You've never lived in an apartment."

"Oh yeah." She cracks a small smile which goes away when the elevator doors finally open. We enter the elevator and she pressed the button, "10".

The ride was silent aside from the low hum of the elevator. We get to the tenth floor and leave the elevator. She leads me to her apartment.
1009.

She opens the door and walks in with me following close behind. "You already know where everything is, so I don't think I have to show you."

"Yeah."

"What's wrong? You've been surprisingly quiet."

We make eye contact for a few seconds, "It's just- I feel bad about what I did to you. You didn't deserve that and I'm sorry. I hurt you and you're still letting be stay here."

Courtney softly sighs, "I don't know why I'm doing this for you. Maybe it's because, even though you lied to me, I still love you."

I softly nodded, sitting on the couch. "Thank you."

She looks at me for a second then walks towards her bedroom. She closes and locks the door behind her. I was alone in her living room. I rub my hands up and down my thighs, looking around the room that was once so familiar to me.

It felt weird being back here. I used to love being here. Being here with Coco, now it just feels weird. I realized that I never took the time to really look at the room. We were so quick to go to Courtney's bedroom.

The couch felt softer than I remembered. She had pictures of her parents and her, all over the walls. She also had a painting that I made on the wall.

The more I stare at the painting, the more I think about the memories that come with it.

"Are you sure you want this one? I have so many better ones and I could even make you a new one."
