Inside the opulent halls of the Lanling Jin Sect's Koi Tower, the atmosphere was thick with tension and anticipation. The air was heavy with the scent of incense, mingling with the nervous energy of those gathered.

Lan Wangji, sat upon the grand throne, his posture regal and his expression unreadable. His eyes, like pools of icy determination, surveyed the room, taking in every detail.

Jin Guangshan, settled into his chair with an air of arrogance.

His eyes, filled with a mix of curiosity and malice, were fixed upon Wangji, his mind already plotting his next move.

Beside Jin Guangshan sat beside his wife, Madam Jin. She wore an elegant silk gown, the color of gold, a reflection of her status and influence.

Jin Guangshan, unable to contain his anger and curiosity any longer, chugged the alcohol from his jar, his actions a display of frustration and impatience.

He slammed the jar down on the table, the sound echoing through the hall, capturing the attention of everyone present.

His eyes burning with intensity, Jin Guangshan glared at Wangji, his voice laced with accusations.

"I trusted you, Lan Wangji, to protect and cherish my son. Tell me, Your Highness, is there any truth to the rumors that have been circulating?"

Lan Wangji met Jin Guangshan's gaze with a blank stare, his silence speaking louder than any words could.

He had no desire to dignify the accusations with a response.".. outrageous and unfounded," Lan Wangji replied calmly, his voice steady and unwavering.

Jin Guangshan's face contorted with anger, his act of concern for Xuanyu crumbling under the weight of his own deceit.

He needed to sow doubt and mistrust among Wangji's allies, to isolate him and weaken his position.

And so, he continued, his voice dripping with false indignation.

"Can we truly trust a man who would betray his own marriage vows?" Jin Guangshan's voice echoed through the hall, his words like daggers aimed at Lan Wangji's heart. "How can we believe in your leadership when you are entangled in such scandalous affairs?"

But Lan Wangji stood firm, his resolve unyielding. He knew that Jin Guangshan's words were nothing more than a desperate attempt to undermine him.

He would not allow himself to be swayed by false accusations and malicious intent.

"I have always upheld my marriage vows," Wangji replied, his voice steady and unwavering. "My commitment to Xuanyu is unwavering, and I will not allow baseless accusations to tarnish our bond."

As the tension in the hall reached its peak, a sudden presence made its entrance.

It was Xuanyu, stepping with purpose towards the gathering. With disappointment burning in his eyes, Xuanyu confronted his father.

"Father, what on earth are you doing? Aren't you ashamed of yourself? How dare you treat someone who holds more power than you in such a manner?" Xuanyu's disappointment was evident as he directed his gaze towards his father, steadily making his way towards his husband.

Jin Zixuan, Xuanyu's older brother, attempted to intervene, stepping in front of Xuanyu to block his path. "Please, don't," he cautioned, his voice filled with concern.
