Third Person POV

Lanling Jin Sect: Xuanyu's Room

As the night deepened, The walls felt like a suffocating prison, and Xuanyu knew he needs to do something if he wanted to be with Wangji.

"I cannot stay here any longer," Xuanyu whispered to himself.

Xuanyu clenched his fist, a silent vow taking shape within his mind.

"Maybe it is time," he uttered and he smile meaningfully.

His silver eyes glowed with a fiery red hue as he gazed out at the moonlight streaming through the windowpane. The moon, too, seemed to respond, casting a brighter glow upon the room.

Turning his attention to the table, Xuanyu called out to Suibian. "Suibian, let's go," he beckoned, his voice carrying a sense of purpose.

In an instant, the sword vanished from the table, only to reappear gracefully in Xuanyu's outstretched hand.

The Next Day

The confrontation between their father and Xuanyu lingered heavily in Zixuan's mind, fueling his desire to apologize.

Zixuan felt the need to apologize for not trusting Xuanyu's judgement, understanding now the depth of his younger brother's love for their Chief Cultivator.

Zixuan stood before the imposing double doors of Xuanyu's quarters, his knuckles rapping against the surface in a gentle yet persistent rhythm.

With each passing second, time seemed to elongate, stretching his anxiety to its limits as he lingered in the deafening silence.

The uneasiness within him tightened its grip, constricting his heart with a mix of worry and confusion.

He had expected a response, a sign that Xuanyu was present and would open the doors to receive him.

But as the minutes wore on, and no sound emanated from within, a sense of trepidation settled upon Zixuan's shoulders.

Unable to bear the weight of uncertainty any longer, he summoned his resolve and slowly pushed open the doors. The scene that greeted him left him momentarily frozen.

The room, usually adorned with Xuanyu's presence, now lay empty and devoid of life.

A chill wind whispered through the space, carrying with it a sense of abandonment that washed over Zixuan like an icy wave.

His mind, once filled with hopeful possibilities, was now fraught with unsettling thoughts that hammered at his consciousness.

"A-Xu?" Zixuan called out, his voice tinged with concern, hoping against hope that his brother would respond. But the silence that hung heavy in the air served only to amplify his worry.

The emptiness of the room spoke volumes, each corner a reminder of Xuanyu's absence.

The bed, neatly made and untouched, stood as a testament to the vacancy that now permeated their lives.

Zixuan's heart raced as unsettling possibilities flooded his mind, each one more disconcerting than the last.

"Where could he have gone?" Zixuan muttered, his words carrying both frustration and fear.

He paced the room, searching for any clue, any indication of where Xuanyu might be, but found nothing.

Jin Guangyao had mentioned that Xuanyu had locked himself inside his quarters, refusing to come out and harboring deep anger towards everyone.

But to find the room vacant only intensified Zixuan's concerns. Where had Xuanyu gone? Had he returned to the Cloud Recesses? Or perhaps he was with Wangji now?
