Third Person POV
As a week passed with no sign of Xuanyu's return, Jin Guangshan found himself consumed by worry and guilt that gnawed at him relentlessly.
The weight of Xuanyu's sacrifice, giving up his unborn child to protect Jin Guangshan, bore heavily on his conscience.
Xuanyu's selfless act and unwavering desire to save his father despite the uncertainty of the outcome only deepened Jin Guangshan's remorse.
The realization of the unforgivable actions he had committed against Xuanyu weighed heavily on his heart, a heavy burden of regret that he could not shake.
Adding to his fear and guilt, is the memory of the incident in Yingqing haunted Jin Guangshan, the image of Wangji's presence there etched in his mind.
The anger and resentment that emanated from Wangji's golden eyes lingered in his thoughts, a stark reminder of the consequences of his actions.
After enduring an hour of excruciating torture, the room fell silent as a figure clad in black entered.
The sound of his footsteps echoed in the room, signaling the departure of the men who had inflicted pain upon Jin Guangshan, leaving him alone with the mysterious newcomer.
As the man approached, Jin Guangshan could hear the ominous energy emanating from his hand, creating a black miasma of resentment that materialized into a throne, upon which the man sat, facing Jin Guangshan with an air of authority.
"It appears my men have been quite hospitable. How are you finding your new accommodations?" the man in black spoke, his voice laced with a chilling calmness that sent shivers down Jin Guangshan's spine.
Jin Guangshan locked eyes with the man and let out a bitter chuckle. It was no surprise. It was none other than his arch-nemesis, Lan Wangji.
"I knew it," Jin Guangshan stated, his gaze piercing Wangji with a mix of defiance and resignation.
Who else but Lan Wangji would dare to orchestrate such a sinister plot against him?
"Release me this instant! Let me go if you don't want Xuanyu to know everything... Do you want my son to despise you?" Jin Guangshan demanded, his voice filled with desperation and a hint of threat.
Wangji laughed sinisterly in response. "If you ever manage to find him alive..."
"What have you done to him? Wangji, never lay a hand on my son. He is innocent. I am the one who wronged your family. Punish me, not my son," Jin Guangshan pleaded, his voice tinged with regret and sorrow.
"How can that be? He has been involved from the start..." Wangji shook his head, his gaze unwavering as he faced Jin Guangshan.
"I used him for my own purposes. Does it not yet clear to you why I wanted to get close to your favorite son?" Wangji revealed, a smirk playing on his lips.
"I thought you loved my son," he questioned, disbelief and betrayal evident in his voice.
"How do I explain this?... I never truly loved your son. It just so happened that I was bored, so I decided to toy with him. He knows everything... and that helped me lure you out. Aren't I a genius?!" Wangji's tone turned mocking, reveling in the chaos he had caused.
"How dare you! I should have killed you long ago!" Jin Guangshan yelled in anger, his eyes blazing with fury.
In a swift motion, Wangji rose from his seat and seized Jin Guangshan by the neck, his grip tightening with a menacing force.
