No one pov :
Taehyung's heart raced as he stood in the lavish garden, surrounded by the who's who of the business world. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kim, beamed with pride as they announced his engagement to Jeon Jungkook, the CEO of Jeon Corps.
Jungkook's piercing gaze met Taehyung's, and for a moment, they just stared at each other. Taehyung felt a shiver run down his spine as Jungkook's expression remained unreadable.
The guests erupted into applause, and Taehyung's friends, Jimin, Suzy, and Roowoon, congratulated him with warm smiles. But Taehyung's mind raced with doubts and fears. He had never even met Jungkook before, and now they were bound by a familial alliance.
As the evening wore on, Taehyung found himself trapped in a whirlwind of small talk and polite laughter. Jungkook remained by his side, his cold demeanor a stark contrast to Taehyung's warmth.
Here's a flashback scene:-
A Deal Made
Six months ago...
Jungkook sat in his sleek, modern office, staring at the city skyline. His father, Chairman Jeon, entered the room, his presence commanding attention.
"Jungkook, it's time to secure our legacy," he said, his voice firm. "The Kim family has agreed to an alliance. You will marry Taehyung, their youngest son."
Jungkook's gaze narrowed. "I don't need a wife to run Jeon Corps."
"This isn't about love, Jungkook. It's about power. The Kims have connections we need. This marriage will solidify our position in the business world."
Jungkook's jaw clenched, but he knew better than to defy his father. "Very well. I'll do it."
Chairman Jeon nodded, a hint of a smile on his face. "I knew I could count on you, son. This is just the beginning of our family's greatness."
The scene shifts back to the present, where Taehyung and Jungkook are standing at the engagement party, surrounded by their families and guests.
As the evening wore on, Taehyung's friends, Jimin, Suzy, and Rowoon, cornered him near the bar, their faces etched with concern.
"Taehyung, are you okay with this?" Jimin asked, his voice low. "You're not even dating the guy, and now you're engaged?"
Taehyung sighed, feeling a mix of emotions. "I know it's sudden, but my parents are thrilled. They think it's a great opportunity for our families to unite."
Suzy frowned. "But what about your happiness, Taehyung? You deserve someone who loves and supports you, not some business arrangement."
Rowoon nodded in agreement. "And what about Jungkook's reputation? He's not exactly known for his warm and fuzzy personality."
Taehyung's heart ached, knowing his friends were right. He had always dreamed of finding true love, not a business partner. But family obligations weighed heavily on him.
Just then, Jungkook appeared beside him, his eyes narrowing at the group. "Everything okay here?"
Taehyung forced a smile, feeling trapped. "Just discussing the wedding plans, Jungkook. Nothing to worry about."
Jungkook's gaze lingered on Taehyung's friends before turning to him. "Let's take a walk. We need to discuss our future."
Taehyung's heart sank as he followed Jungkook into the garden, feeling like he was walking into a unknown fate.
