niamh was at school and i had a day off work, ashton offered to take me out and we ended up at the library we used to go to as kids back in highschool. it'd changed quite a bit since i'd last visited. there were now records, albums and so much more that they kept.
we spent the entire afternoon having a look at the new sections, exploring. every richmond high kid had probably pulled more than one all nighter at this place since it was open all night long and there was a snack bar
it was our first 'date' per say.

ashton and maire were around the same age and a lot of their friends from school were from the same circle. they were quite the fun lot of people. i hadn't ever hung out with them whilst still in school because maire wasn't a party-goer but things were different with ashton.
his friends were actually really nice. i mean a few of them were frat boys back in college but if we ignore that, every group dinner was a new memory to cherish just because of how interesting the night would get each time. i'd managed to get them hooked on playing cards, beyond poker and they slowly turned into game nights from dinners.
we eventually got drinking games into the picture and it just made experience so much more lively. the child in me got to heal somewhere down the line. i learned to let lose and be irresponsible sometimes because i knew ashton would look out for me. we never drank together unless we were at his place, so it was good to have that safe guard. niamh being with lando meant i got to be off mum duties on most nights that is.
