I watch the initiates fight, Sarah standing by my side. I smile.
"How are things?," Sarah asks.
"Everything is fine," I reply. "How are things for you?"
"Disappointing." Sarah frowns.
I stare at Sarah. "Why?"
"I want Jeanine to change so bad," Sarah says. "I just want a family."
I hold Sarah's hand. "I'll be your family."
Sarah smiles and kisses me. "Thank you."
