The police officers yelled at the bender as he broke out of prison, his flames dancing wildly around him. "Come back here!" they shouted, their voices filled with urgency and fear.

The bender turned to face them, a twisted smile on his face. "You think you can stop me? You're all just weak, pathetic insects in my path," he sneered.

One of the officers, trembling but determined, raised his hands to metalbend. "Stop right there! Surrender peacefully or we will use force!"

But the bender's laughter echoed through the corridors as he unleashed a wave of scorching flames, engulfing the officers in a fiery inferno. Their screams filled the air as they were consumed by the flames, their bodies falling to the ground in a heap.

The sun had long since set over the bustling streets of Republic City, casting a warm orange glow over the city's neon-lit skyscrapers. The firebender, still reeling from his betrayal and heartbreak, had escaped the authorities and made his way to the city's underbelly. He had been hiding in the shadows, watching and waiting, as he plotted his revenge.

As he turned a corner, he caught sight of two familiar figures in the distance. His eyes narrowed as he recognized Asami, his former lover, walking hand in hand with Korra. The firebender's anger flared as he watched them, his fists clenched at his sides.

"Can't they see I'm still here?" he hissed to himself, his voice low and venomous. "Can't they see I'm still burning?"

He didn't approach them, instead choosing to remain hidden in the shadows. He watched as they laughed and talked, oblivious to his presence. The firebender's anger simmered, growing hotter with each passing moment.

Three years passed, and the firebender had changed his appearance. He now wore a black leather jacket and a hoodie. His eyes seemed to burn with a hunger for revenge.

As he walked through the city streets, he noticed people staring at him. They whispered to each other, pointing him out. But none of them recognized him. He was no longer the firebender they knew.

He smiled to himself, a cold, calculating smile. He was no longer the same person he once was. He was something new, something darker.

The firebender's name was whispered in fear throughout the city. People spoke of him in hushed tones, telling stories of his cruelty and ruthlessness. But he knew the truth - that he was still burning, still burning with a fierce passion for revenge.

And as he disappeared into the night, he knew that he would stop at nothing to get what he wanted.
