As the school day came to an end, Opal's voice rang out above the chatter of the crowd, directing everyone to clear a path. "ALL RIGHT, ALL RIGHT PEOPLE BACK IT UP! BACK IT UP!" she called out, expertly guiding Korra through the throng of students.

Korra laughed at Opal's authoritative tone, following her through the crowd until she spotted Asami waiting on her motorcycle. Before joining her girlfriend, Korra paused to chat with Opal about their plans for the upcoming year.

"I can't believe how fast time is flying by, Opal. I'm excited to see what adventures await us," Korra remarked, a smile playing on her lips.

Opal nodded in agreement, her eyes reflecting a sense of anticipation for the future. "It's going to be an amazing year, Korra. I can't wait to see where life takes us," she replied, her voice filled with excitement.

After saying their goodbyes, Korra made her way over to Asami, who was laughing softly as she waited on her motorcycle. "What's so funny?" Korra asked, a curious grin on her face.

Asami turned to her with a twinkle in her eye. "Your fan club seems to be growing by the minute, Korra. Looks like you've got quite the following," she teased, a playful smile on her lips.

Korra chuckled, shaking her head at the attention. "I guess being the Avatar comes with its perks," she replied, stepping closer to Asami and giving her a quick peck on the cheek.

As Korra hopped on the back of the motorcycle, wrapping her arms around Asami's waist. Asami rode away from the school parking lot with Korra, she made a spontaneous decision to take a detour to pick up a gift. Asking Korra to wait outside, Korra groaned in disappointment, questioning why she couldn't accompany Asami. However, a reassuring kiss on the lips from Asami eased any concerns, and she watched as Asami walked into the store.

While Korra stood outside, a girl approached her and began engaging in conversation.

The girl smiled coyly at Korra and said, "Hey there, you've got a great sense of style. Mind if I join you for a chat?"

Korra grinned back, appreciating the compliment. "Sure."

Asami walked into the store, trying to blend in with the other shoppers. She quickly made her way to the gift section and grabbed a small box, trying to act nonchalant. Meanwhile, Korra waited outside, chatting with the girl who had approached her.

"So, what's your name?" Korra asked, smiling.

"I'm Kaito," the girl replied, her eyes sparkling with amusement. "And you are?"

"I'm Korra," Korra said, her voice friendly.

Kaito eyes shot wide open. "The Korra?! As in, the Avatar?!"

"Yeah," Korra chuckles, "The one and only."

The two of them continued to chat, laughing and joking around. Asami watched from the store window, her eyes narrowing as she saw Korra seeming to enjoy Kaito's company.

Just as Asami was about to intervene, the cashier cleared his throat loudly. "Ma'am, your total is $1,112.50," he said, his voice firm.

Asami quickly paid for the gift and left the store, trying to put on a smile. But as she walked back to the motorcycle, she couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy. She glanced back at Korra and Kaito, who were still laughing together.

Korra noticed Asami's gaze and waved at her. "Hey, I'll be right there!" she called out.

Korra and Kaito exchanged numbers when Kaito asked for Korra's contact information during their conversation, to keep in touch.

Asami forced a smile and got onto her motorcycle . She started the engine and pulled away from the curb, trying to focus on the road ahead.

But she couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. She glanced in the rearview mirror, glaring at Korra.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Korra asked.
As Asami stormed inside their home, her frustration simmering beneath the surface, she couldn't bring herself to face Korra's questioning gaze. Korra followed closely behind, trying to understand what had soured their earlier interactions.

"Hey, Asami, what's going on? Why are you acting like this?" Korra's voice was laced with concern, her brow furrowed in confusion.

Ignoring Korra's questions, Asami continued to seethe in silence, her jealousy festering inside her. The tension in the air was palpable as Korra tried to reach out to her, seeking an explanation for the sudden shift in their dynamic.

Finally, unable to contain her emotions any longer, Asami's voice rose in a heated outburst. "I saw you exchanging numbers with that girl, Korra! Do you have any idea how that made me feel?" Her words were tinged with hurt and anger, the truth of her jealousy finally spilling out into the open.
