Korra burst through the door, her long hair flying behind her. "Asami!" she called out, her voice echoing through the empty rooms. When she got no response, she tried again, her voice tinged with a hint of urgency. "Baby! Where are you?" She was about to try again when a sloppy lick to the face made her jump. "Ah, Naga!" Korra exclaimed, laughing as she patted the lovable polar bear dog on the head. "Sorry, girl. I'm looking for Asami." Naga wagged her tail and followed Korra to the kitchen. As she entered the room, Korra's eyes scanned the countertops, searching for any sign of her girlfriend. That's when she spotted a piece of paper on the counter. Her heart sinking, she walked over to it and picked it up. It was a note, and her eyes scanned it quickly before her heart felt like it was being ripped in two.

"Dear Korra,

I never thought I would have to write this, but I can no longer continue in this relationship. After three long years of trying to make things work, I have come to the painful realization that we are not good for each other. The video that went viral was just the final straw, the tipping point that made me see how toxic our relationship has become.

I am exhausted, Korra. Exhausted from constantly dealing with your reckless behavior, your impulsiveness, and your inability to consider the consequences of your actions. I have tried to be patient, to be understanding, to support you through all the ups and downs, but it has taken a toll on me. Three years have passed, and there has been no change. I cannot continue to subject myself to this cycle of arguments and make-up sex.

The video was not just a betrayal of trust, but a stark realization of the toxicity that has seeped into our relationship. It made me see that we are not good for each other, that we bring out the worst in each other rather than the best. I cannot continue to sacrifice my own well-being, my own mental and emotional health, for a relationship that is draining me.

I have tried to communicate my feelings, my concerns, my hopes for us, but it seems like we are stuck in a pattern that neither of us can break. I need to prioritize my own happiness, my own peace of mind, and that means letting go of this relationship.

I wish you all the best, Korra. I hope that you can find the strength to work on yourself, to grow, to change for the better. But I cannot be a part of that journey anymore. It is time for me to walk away, to find a healthier, more fulfilling path for myself.

Goodbye,

Asami"

Korra collapsed to the ground, tears streaming down her face as she mourned the destruction she had wrought. Naga, sensing her distress, snuggled up close, whining softly as Korra buried her face in the polar bear dog's fur. As she cried, Korra's words were muffled, but they were laced with self-loathing. "I'm a... I'm a fucking idiot," she whispered, her voice cracking with despair. Naga's ears perked up at the outburst, but she remained still, offering comfort and solace to her distraught companion.

Asami walked into the kitchen, her heart sinking as she saw Korra sitting on the floor, tears streaming down her face. Korra looked up at her, a glimmer of hope in her eyes, hoping that the note was a prank. But Asami's expression was somber, and she knew that it was no joke. "What's going on, Korra?" she asked softly, her voice trembling with emotion.

Korra sniffled and wiped her nose on her sleeve. "You know what's going on, Asami. You're leaving me."

Asami's eyes filled with tears as she walked over to the stairs, grabbing the last suitcase from upstairs and came back down, her movements mechanical. When she saw Korra reaching for another bottle, her anger boiled over. "Korra, stop it," she yelled, snatching the bottle out of her hand. "You're 17 years old for fuck sake! You're still a kid."

Korra tried to walk past Asami, but she was too fast. Asami grabbed her waist, pulling her back and holding her in place. "Korra, I want you to have a good life," she said, her voice choked with emotion. "I want us to be friends. Can we do that?"

Korra looked away, not wanting to speak to her ex-lover anymore. But Asami's grip on her waist didn't loosen. She turned Korra's face back towards hers, her eyes pleading.
Korra hesitated, but Asami's gaze was unwavering. She leaned in, and their lips met in a soft kiss. Asami brushed her tongue against Korra's lips, asking for access. Korra accepted, and their kiss deepened as Asami held her close.

As they pulled away from each other's lips, Asami rested her forehead on korra's and closed her eyes sighing. She gave Korra a gentle kiss before releasing her.
"It's over," she whispered, before turning and walking away.
