Chapter 36

🐶Bruno🐶

I sighed quietly, got up from the couch and went to Roxanne. I gently took her hands in mine. The female wolf looked at me with sad eyes. "It's not a joke. I really need to go to the underground cave again. It's very important. Please understand that, Roxy." I said to her, twitching both ears. "I keep hearing the voice of a ghost boy whispering."

Tears streamed down Roxy's cheeks and she sniffled. "But...but we had been to the underground cave and didn't find anything dangerous down there." said she. "What does that damn ghost boy want from you? Can't he annoy someone else with his whispery voice?"

I couldn't bear to see my beloved Roxy cry, it hurt my animatronic heart but the safety of the Pizzaplex was important. "The ghost boy wants me to look inside the charging station. There's something in this charging station and I have to find out what it is." said I to her then let my ears droop and didn't dare look into her tear-filled eyes.

"I'm afraid of ghosts, they're scary, malicious and haunt around." said little Melissa and anxiously pulled the blanket over her head.

I looked to the little girl while still gently holding Roxy's hands in my hands. "Don't be afraid, my sweet, there are only nice ghosts. Sleep now." said I in a gentle voice to take some of her fear away, which worked because Melissa slowly pulled her head out from under the blanket, snuggled into the pillow, slowly closed her eyes, smiling, and fell asleep.

Roxanne withdrew her hands from mine. "Oh Bruno please don't go alone I don't want to lose you. I..I can't bear to lose you. Please stay with me." the female wolf pleaded, sniffling again. "I...I'll come with you. I'll come with you." she pressed herself against my chest.

I immediately shook my head and gently stroked her green strand of hair. "No Roxy, you can't come with me I have to go to the underground cave alone. You have to stay with Melissa and recover you from your slight cold." said I. "I have to do this for the safety of the Pizzaplex."

Roxy sniffled again and had to suppress a slight sneeze. She then nodded and gently stroked my cheek. "You are so brave Bruno. You are my brave sweet dog." whispered the female wolf lovingly while a few tears rolled down her cheeks. "Please take good care of yourself and come back to me safely, my brave, brave dog."

I kissed Roxy's cheek tenderly and looked at her with full of love. "I promise you that I will be back with you as soon as possible my adorable, beautiful wolf princess. Don't worry about me okay." said I. The female wolf nodded and snuggled up gently into my side for a moment, whimpering. Then I left her room. When I had left Roxy's room I saw that the lights in the rooms of the others were already off because they were asleep. Roxy was standing in her room and I could see her through the large window pane. I waved her goodbye. She sadly waved goodbye back.

I saw Bruno left the Rockstar Row. I started sobbing bitterly and stood in front of my mirror, sniffling and with my ears drooping. "B..bruno will come back to you because he loves you. He..he loves you." said I soothing but sobbing uncontrollably to my reflection.
