Well, the following weeks of my life were pretty much the same, go to the Amphitheater to hear boring explanations about magic, go pass the time in the Tree and go back to hearing more boring explanations about magic. Laguna's classes were the only ones where everyone was looking forward to, as he never explained the subject, instead expecting us to already know it and instead we should show him that we knew about it, which made for some interesting classes.
But now all of this wasn't going to happen, as I woke up to see that everyone was watching the TV, which had a blonde woman talking on the microphone just outside of the Coliseum.
-We are live from Laguna School of Magic, Swordsmanship and Demonology for the 19th Running of the Coliseum of the Americas! I am Cristina Lee.- She said enthusiastically. -This year we will have more famous guests than ever before!-
-Damn, it looks like the Super Bowl.- I said, making some cereal for me. -When is it going to start?-
-12 P.M if I'm not mistaken.- Janko replied. -So we should get going as soon as possible.-
-Has the matchups been announced yet?- I asked him, who shook his head. -Why not? We're already on the day of the matches.-
Janko just shrugged it off, and as soon as I finished eating we went to the Metro to catch a train to the Coliseum, which was completely filled, as we looked more like a train of canned tuna than a well-organized metro system, and since it was so packed, we got separated from each other, not that we cared though, as we were heading to the same place. When the train finally arrived, the doors opened, or should I say, the Gates opened, as everyone left the trains like water going out of a dam, all of us going to the same place, the Coliseum, which stood in its Classical magnificence amongst the more modern-like apartment buildings by its side.
I soon went towards my line of combatants, but in the way there my eye caught someone very strange, it was a man with long flowing black hair that all the way to his waist, with a golden fur wrapped around his neck and falling on the right side of the front of his body, his attire was the thing that most stood out, with him using clothes that looked straight out of a Mounty Python movie, as he wore a blue silky Renaissance shirt and a white silk pants that had a ballooning effect, his shoes were the most normal thing on his appearance, brown office shoes, he also had a chestplate adorned with spikes on the shoulders, he was carrying a sword on his back and another one on his hilt, for precautions I guess, either way he was strange looking.
-Hey Barry, the line is here.- Howard called out. -What are you looking at?-
-Don't tell me you don't see that weird guy.- I replied, looking back at the weird man, who still drew no attention whatsoever. -Bro got clothes straight out of the 1300s.-
-Weird man? Where?- Howard asked me, looking at the line. -Everyone is dressing ordinarily.-
-Hmm, I think that he must have entered already then.- I said, guessing that the guy must be using something to make him look like a common person, either way, now I'm also intrigued by him. -That line is moving quicker than I thought.-
Once inside the Coliseum, we got some fresh gym clothes with our name inscribed on them to easily identify us, it had our full name, our age, School Year and our fighting class in it. As for the clothes, they were white with blue lines at the sides. We were then led into the subterranean, where just like the actual Colosseum of Rome, the actors were kept, I got into my room and quickly changed clothes, in one side of the room I could see some tools to help me I guessed, one was a plastic fake Broadsword and the other was a short, also plastic, fake dagger, I assumed that they were for swordsmanship and Demonology respectively, which meant that I couldn't use them as I was in the Mage Class.
