An hour later they had settled into a U shaped booth at the diviest dive bar Beau had ever seen- and as a poor student he had been in some dumps before. Bianca had insisted on a specific table, her and Bronson obviously saying something convincing to have the people already sitting there move.

He was eying the large handsome black man that had traveled with them. He was very imposing. His eyes were covered by brown contacts but they were jarring as the brown was too light. He took up the half of his side of the booth, with Toby and Beck wedged between him and the Japanese cyberpunk that had met them there. The punk was striking and it was hard to look away from them- their contacts were deliberately fake- a purple colour and their mohawk was teased up with long differently coloured strands of hair trailing down their back. Toby and Becky were in particular awestruck by them.

The third person that had joined them was a very small curvy woman who looked down her nose at everything. Her hair was a rich brown and she had green contacts in. Hers was more natural and you wouldn't have noticed otherwise. She was prissily sipping her wine. Beau could only imagine how horrible it would be from a place like this- everyone else had ordered a beer or a bourbon.

"Sooo..." Toby asked, trying to get an angle for their conversation to take off. It had been pretty stunted so far. "How'd you all meet?"

"School," Bianca responded. As yet she hadn't let any of her friends answer any questions. They didn't seem fussed and it gave Beau the impression she was often the leader of the group.

"Oh yeah?" Becky tried to join in. "Back in Europe?"

"Yes. It is an exclusive boarding school in Switzerland."

"Wow. So you all come from money?" Toby commented.

Beau kicked him under the table, accidentally glancing off him and hitting Bronson's leg as well. Beaus eyes went wide as the large man stared him down. "Sorry..." he mumbled.

"Yes, we're all filthy rich," Rose sneered. Bianca gave her a look.

"What about you all?" Bianca asked. Beau held her hand under the table. He could tell she was really trying. "How'd you meet?"

"The B man and I met when he transferred to my highschool in our senior year. We became bosom buddies and ended up applying and going to the same college- the man couldn't live without me." Toby winked at his friend. "Becks here, we met through work."

"You two are in a relationship?" Raven asked. Beau was thinking they had noted Toby and Beckys interest in them.

The two glanced at each other. "Not exclusively," Becky answered.

Beau noticed Raven clocking the information. He side glanced at Bianca, who smiled at him. She leant in and whispered in his ear. "They're more open than others..."

Bronson was checking out people around the room- he seemed to set his eyes and went to get up from the table.

"Bron," Bianca said his name with authority. The man looked at her. There was something unspoken there and he just nodded as he got up and moved away from them.

Bianca's eyes followed him as he started to chat with a group of men in the back corner. Beau didn't know how to tell if people were vampires, or whatever other manner of supernatural beings that seemed to actually exist, but the group of men he approached seemed freakishly good looking and buff, like sexy lumberjacks.

Toby, Becky and Raven started to talk amongst themselves.

"So, Rose." Beau thought he'd give having a conversation with the snooty woman a shot. He was wondering if this was the impression his friends had had with Bianca the first time they saw her. "You had much of a chance to check out LA?"
