"Well. I guess we can say that was a complete success then," Beau offered. He was leaning against his desk chair as Bianca sat on the edge of the bed and started untying her knee high combat style boots. They were hot but seemed a massive pain to put on and take off. He took a few steps, kneeling before her and took over untying them.

"I can't believe Toby actually hit on Bronson. I don't think I can remember the last time someone did that. He can be intimidating." She smiled down at him. "I didn't realise Toby was so... liberal."

Beau laughed. "Yeah. That man might look like just another macho jock but he's also a massive manwhore."

She smiled at the term.

"I think he thinks he's hit the jackpot- we've all heard stories about co-ed, or even same gender, boarding schools. Are all supernatural people hot?"

Bianca chuckled. "Yeah, most. We are predators after all."

"Ah ha!" Beau grinned. He had gotten one of her boots off. He started on the other.

"You've taken this all really well," Bianca said suddenly.

He just shrugged. "Freaking out about it isn't going to help. Better to take it all in... what other species are there?"

She thought through what she'd told him so far. "Fae, Warlocks... Hmmm..."

"What's the difference between a warlock and a witch?"

"It's where their powers come from and the realm that they come from. Witches are generally from here, but historically are from small pockets of hidden places, though there aren't many left now- their power is from within, they say gifted from the gods. Warlocks are from Therien, another world that is linked to this one. They draw their power from outside, as a power source to fuel their spells and artifaces."

"Artifaces?"

"It's an object imbued with magic. Think a gun, where the spells are the loaded bullets."

Beau was obviously sifting through the information and settling in on what questions to ask. "And fae? As in faeries?"

She nodded. "Yes, but they are very rare. Similar to witches they have their own realm that links to this world and Therien."

"Therien." Beau repeated. "Is that like a different planet?"

Bianca nodded, drawing her feet up as Beau removed her other boot. "I'm not an expert, but from the literature I've read it is a world that sits in the same spot as earth but is separate. We have weakened points over this world where you can enter. They are mainly shifters, Dragon, Wolves and Werecats but also Warlocks are from there. Their world also borders the Netherrealms, where the demons are."

"Demons? You said Raven was half-"

Bianca pulled him to the bed, laying back and nestling him in between the legs. "Yeah. Demons and vampires are what your cautionary tales are based on. We're all monsters."

"You're not a monster," he corrected as he brushed her hair back from her face.

"Of course I am." She smiled up at him. "But you make me not want to be one."

"You should take your contacts out."

"I'm trying to be romantic," she grumbled and popped them out, not caring about letting them go to waste somewhere on the floor. She had heaps of them.

"I want you to be perfectly comfortable."

"Well, I am." She dug her fingers into his hair. Pulling him down to kiss her.

The sound of a stereo being put on made them pause just long enough to chuckle before returning back to each other.

"I just gotta say, I get it." Toby was piling food onto a plate. "I'm never coming back from those European babes."

"Which ones?" Beau asked. He was eating a sandwich. "Also I suggest you ease off on the serve. They probably won't eat."

Toby examined his plating. Shrugging he picked it up. "And as to which ones, it would have been all three but David arrived home and he and Rose, like crazy, hit it off. Raven was... let's just say neither of us disappointed the other," he grinned wickedly and continued, "Bronson was a real surprise in the end and I have to say, Becky was especially fun last night." His smile turned wistful. "I might need to marry her."

Beau watched his friend walk back down the hall. "Jesus Christ," he mumbled. A crazy night around here, and bleeding to Saturday night now. People streamed in and out of bedrooms all day. At one point that afternoon the vampires had a discussion in his bedroom. Tobias and Becky practically passed out. It was to touch base on the plan and any adjustments needed.

The time Cordon had his meeting with the committee came and went. They would have to wait until he submitted a report so they could sneak a peek on what actually happened in the meeting.

Rose was quiet, sitting in the desk chair. Beau and Bianca sat in the bed with Raven sitting atop the dresser and Bronson leaning against it.

"So this has been a whole lot of fun but we can't all be bundled up in a sex nest for the rest of our days."

"Speak for yourself," Bronson quipped. Raven chuckled behind their hand.

Beau couldn't help but grin. He didn't feel the danger Bianca could. He hadn't seen the ugly side of her world yet.

Raven pulled out their phone. "All my programs finished running. Any images that were picked up that could contain your mother's mark have been deleted. Cordon is due to head home tomorrow evening. He hasn't submitted his report. He might not do that until he's home though."

"I'm still waiting for word back on our hunch on Cordon's business here," Bronson added.

"Rose-" Bianca turned to her friend but her words caught. Rose looked like she was in turmoil.

"How about we take a break." Bianca suggested. She shooed the three others out, leaving her and Rose together. Beau had told her what Toby had said about Rose and David. It was surprising for them to find their mates so close together.

"Hi."

Rose looked up at her. "He's half human-half werewolf."

"Okay."

"I'll never be able to go home again." Rose's lower lip trembled.

Bianca embraced her friend. "I hope that isn't what happens."

Rose sniffled. "He's really amazing." She cried softly. Bianca smiled to herself and just stayed and comforted her friend.
