"Bianca," she heard Beaus' voice and it felt like she was in heaven. She called his name, her voice sounding disconnected from herself in her ears.

She blinked slowly and his face came into view. A look of relief washed over his features. He twisted and looked behind him. "She's waking up."

"Oh thank the goddess," her mother's voice.

She tried to sit up and found she couldn't.

"Easy," her mother came into view. "You expended a lot of energy."

Memories of the abduction and Cordon came back to her.

"We have to get out of here," she gasped as she tried to get up again.

Beau helped her, pulling her into his arms bridal style. As he stood she had a better view. The vampires were all on the ground, dead.

"Wow..." she breathed. I did that?

She shook her head, trying desperately to clear the fog.

"We're not out of it yet," she tensed her hands. Arg. So weak.

Freya had rushed ahead, looking out of the room and both ways down the hall. "There is another group with your friends. I think they went down to a lower floor."

"I'm in no condition to protect you both," Bianca spoke aloud.

"You need to feed," Freya said simply.

Bianca and Beau met each other's gaze. He raised the shoulder of the arm holding under her knees. "If that's what you need."

He looked around and sat on an old leather office chair that was in the corner.

"You sure?" She whispered to him.

"Of course." Beau turned so she could easily nussle into his neck. She went to the spot with her mark instinctively. She made a noise at seeing it still in place.

"But I accepted," she said in wonder.

"I lied," Beaus voice was soft. He looked at her from the side of his eye, his neck still exposed to her. "I didn't mean my rejection."

Intention... she smiled and kissed her mark before sinking her teeth into him again. He made a small sigh as she drew from him, his arms holding her bundled with her knees up against his chest in his lap. She wrapped her arms around him, cupping the back of his head.

She knew when to pull back, how not to take too much. She swallowed and licked her lips. Giving him a quick peck in thanks. They stood slowly, barely unwrapping themselves from each other as they came to stand by Freya at the door.

They sat on the ground floor of the building. Bianca found Raven and Bronson quickly, smelling the blood of the dead vampires before and scent of her friends.

The enormity of what happened was out in the air. Cordon was dead. Bianca had killed him. How she was able to do it with the oath in place was beyond them all, but she also wasn't supposed to be able to do magic.

"What do we do?" Raven asked.

Bianca thought through all the options, all the possible outcomes. There were so many that went very bad.

"We need to contact the Council," Freya spoke gently, watching Bianca. There was fear there- she could sense the anxiety her daughter was feeling, truly experiencing a threat she felt she couldn't face. "There are still members that will help us."

Bianca couldn't guess what the outcome would be to go to the Council now. She had her evidence of shady dealings Cordon had- her concern was that her ability to kill someone with an oath in place may make her too great a threat to them. And her human mate was still a problem.
