I wake up to the deafening sound of my alarm. Sigh. It's Friday today, which means I have to go to school. At least it's Friday. I only have to endure seven hours of torture before I can go home and sleep in for two days. Just thinking about that makes my body spark a little with excitement, before dropping back down as I remember I have to sit all of my tests next week.
I follow the usual procedures I take getting ready for school; washing my face, brushing my teeth, getting dressed into my uniform, applying some makeup and brushing out my hair, not forgetting to sprinkle myself with my rich vanilla perfume to top it all off.
I call out a small goodbye to my mum, who is sitting in the living room, watching TV, as she usually does in the mornings. She doesn't reply to my goodbye, instead just ignores me, her eyes glued to the TV. It's like she's hypnotised by it. And adults say we are too consumed in technology.
I stroll peacefully down the pathway to school, passing by my favourite convenience store on the way to pick up a peach iced tea. I only ever do this when I'm feeling productive, which is quite rare. Usually, I have to run to school because I've left something at home, or I go back to sleep after my alarm goes off, which is a massive habit of mine. I need to start learning self control.
As I reach the open gates of my school, I see Felix, who has just walked in before me.
"Felix!" I shout out, as he looks back, shooting me a sweet smile. He is walking with this other guy, he didn't turn around though. His hair is jet black, and he is quite tall, I'm guessing around 6ft?
I scurry over to walk with Felix and the black haired boy, who's head is turned away from us, looking over at some birds that are hopping about on the ground, searching for worms.
"Ooh, can I have some of that?" Felix points at the peach iced tea I'm holding in my hand. I nod my head in approval, handing over the half empty bottle.
"Careful Felix, you might get an infection," The taller boy remarks. I scoff for a second, wondering what the hell his problem is. He doesn't even know me, goddamn.
Then I realise. I look up at the boy, his glistening, dark brown eyes staring back down at me, the corners of his lips turned slightly upwards. Of course, Hyunjin. How did I not know.
It has been ages since Hyunjin has showed up at school, so it is very unusual to see him in his uniform, standing inside school grounds. That's probably the reason why I didn't recognise him. I'm quite pleased, though, because now I won't have to sit all alone in art class.
The first bell rings out, piercing my eardrums as per usual. I have maths with Felix first, so we both start heading over towards our classroom, as Felix waves goodbye to Hyunjin, who walks in the complete opposite direction.
As we both walk to our lesson, being careful not to go too quickly because it's maths, Felix speaks.
"So, Aera.. how's your love life? Everything good with Hee-hee?"
I chuckle at the nickname he gave Heeseung, finding it quite amusing.
"Yeah, everything's going great!" I lie. I can't tell him that I cheated with his brother, that would be awkward, and Felix would probably get a little disturbed if I explain to him anyways, especially considering the things we did together.
"Well thats good!"

The day surprisingly goes by pretty quick, and there is only one lesson left before the end of the day- art.
Art is one of my favourite subjects, I mean, I'm not the best at it, but it's a fun way to end the week.
As I walk in, I realise how early I am. There's only two other people in here, including Hyunjin, who is already sat down and working, although the lesson hasn't even started yet. He looks super concentrated.
"What're you doing?" I seat myself down next to him, pulling out my workbook. Hyunjin pushes his book over to me so I can see, smirking. I take one look at the page and gasp, staring in amazement.
He has drawn a hyper-realistic sketch of his brother Felix, everything was perfect, the proportions were immaculate and everything was shaded so beautifully. If I hadn't had seen him working on the sketch, I would have thought he printed it off, because wow.
"I can draw you, if you want?" Hyunjin offers, his eyes switching attention from the sketch to my face, which is still in shock and staring at the drawing.
"Please." I answer back almost immediately, before turning my head to look up at Hyunjin, who is examining my face, a small smirk plastered across his cheeks.
The rest of art class is pretty fun, especially now I don't have to sit in silence and work. Hyunjin also starts the drawing of me, but I'm not allowed to look until it's finished. We both get all of the work done pretty quickly, which is unusual for me, but I got a lot of help from Hyunjin, so it made us work a lot faster.

Felix, Hyunjin and I all walk out of the school gates, chatting about our days.
"I had the worst ever science lesson, ever. It was like, sooooo bad, our teacher was explaining the same thing to us over and over again. And I still didn't even understand at the end of the lesson!" Felix exclaims, Hyunjin and I listening intently to his rant.
As we walk down the pavement, heading to Felix and Hyunjin's house, I spot someone crossing the road, walking over to the three of us. It's Heeseung.
His cherry red hair gleams in the sunlight as he walks over to us, his eyes fixated on me. I smile lightly back at him, although my whole body is starting to quake with nervousness.
I wasn't expecting today to be the day Heeseung and Hyunjin meet each other in the flesh, especially with the fact that I'm not even supposed to be hanging out with him.
"Lets go," Heeseung grabs for my hand, pulling me away from the others. But, before we can walk away, Hyunjin decides it's a great idea to introduce himself.
"You're Aera's boyfriend right?" He starts with a smirk, causing Heeseung to turn back around, glaring straight at him. "I'm Hyunjin, nice to meet you."
"Heeseung." He replies, sounding bothered. I don't think he realises that this is the guy from the call, which makes me let out a small sigh of relief.
Heeseung turns back around, and starts to walk away with me, but Hyunjin interrupts him once again, more of a friendly tone in his voice now, but I know it's meant to be sarcasm.
"Don't go just yet, I wanna get to know you more!"
This makes Heeseung clench his fists, my hand getting squeezed slightly as he turns us back around, walking us back up to Hyunjin and his brother. I can literally feel anger brewing inside his body right now.
"Maybe another time." He scowls viciously as his mean glare makes a comeback, letting go of my hand.
He then gets a little closer to Hyunjin, who is staring right back into my boyfriend's soul with an intimidating smirk on his face.
I move over to Felix as we watch this intense staring competition between the two. I don't at all understand why Hyunjin is doing this, he could have just not talked at all, but instead he decides to try and pick a fight with my boyfriend.
It lasts for a good minute or so, before Heeseung breaks off the contact, coming over to me and grasping my hand tightly, leading us away in the direction of his house. I can still feel Hyunjin's stare as we leave them. He scares me sometimes, if I must be honest.
-
We walk in silence for most of the way back, until Heeseung asks me a question.
"Aera," He begins.
"Mhm?"
"Who was that weird ass guy that was trying to square up to me?" His voice has a hint of concern as he speaks.
"Oh.. he's just one of my friends, I'm sorry about him.." I look down at the ground as I say this.
Heeseung doesn't answer, instead he just shrugs a little, our hands still tightly bounded together as we walk back to his apartment silently.
