Chapter Eleven — Memories

━─┉┈━─┉┈☾◉☽┈┉─━┈┉─━It was just the start of Earth, of Life, and of living. The Heavenly Divinity had just breathed you into existence. You were the very first, of both life and of the many mistakes yet to come.
"Lucifer," their honey sweet voice called into the clouds. The young seraphim was sitting at the edge of the clouds, looking down into the ground below. He was dangerous. Moreso, his ideas were dangerous.
"Y/N!" He smiled, turning to them. He stood, almost losing his balance and falling. "I did something."
Their gaze hardened. That was never good. Their e/c eyes traveled down Lucifer's body, scanning every bit of him. A stain tainted his perfect skin at his forearms. Green. "What have you done?"
White magic grabbed his forearm, forcing the white silk to stop at his elbow instead of his wrist. Green dotted his skin in streaks.
"I went down to visit," Lucifer finally said, ashamed.
"Visit?" They spat. That was forbidden. To everyone, except themself. Even they, the Divinity's first and best messenger, hadn't touched down to the filth-filled world below the Heavenly clouds. It was to be their first official job. And this horrid Seraphim, a lesser being than themself, had stolen the honor.
"I'm sorry!" Lucifer cried, dropping to his knees. His blue eyes were fading slowly. He was a tainted being.
"I have...no words for you, Lucifer," the h/c being turned away from the distraught angel. Their wings promptly folded inwards and the golden light from their halo dimmed. "Except that I pity that you have strayed. Fear not, my dear, I choose to forget now, but another day, I will not be so forgiving."
A lightning bolt of brilliant white struck down where the guardian angel stood. A being with it. A sword of gold and cloud struck against their throat. Blood dripped down.
Drip.
Drop.
Splat.
Red.
Red and purple liquid stained the perfectly white clouds. A single dot.
"You dare think you have the right to forgive?" A venomous voice asked.
"Alax," the messenger greeted through gritted teeth. Despite it being an unwelcome presence to be like this, the being still did so. Let's simply just say, Alax was a special case when it came to insults.
"Ah, Y/N, my dear, didn't see you there," he smiled. Faker.
"The sword to my throat surely says so, darling," they smiled back, one equally fake.
"Apologies," he lowered the sword, took a step back, and bowed.
"Thank you."
