Chapter Ten — Movie Night

━─┉┈━─┉┈☾◉☽┈┉─━┈┉─━"That's a wonderful idea, F/N!" Charlie beamed.
"It's alright," Vaggie muttered under her breath. She then smiled as she saw how happy Charlie seemed to be."Lovely, Charlotte," you smiled in return. "I'll see you and Vaggie downstairs in about an hour? Angel takes a long time to shower after a tough day, and I have to as well. Then we'll whip up a few snacks and get ready to pick the movie."
"My dear," Alastor' figure formed out of his shadow. "I'd be more than happy to make a few snacks for you! Movie night is a beloved thing to many of your time, as I have just recently learned. A time for bonding, gossip, and fun!"
You stared at him blankly before the realization hit you like a truck. Chuckling nervously, you responded, "Well, it was, uh, blast back when I was a juven — teen-teenager." You stumbled through your thoughts.
The whole concept of these new terms was always so confusing, always changing, always turning to something different. It was annoying. You wished sometimes the youth of these new ages would simply stick to how it used to be in certain aspects. The language, for example. New slang seemed to invented daily, and you found it difficult to keep up most times.
Alastor's eyes narrowed up at you. He was suspicious of your inability to use the modern language. Like he was one to talk. Although, you did have to admit that he at least kept to his time period. You couldn't stop switching between centuries. It got confusing fast. Especially when the other hotel inhabitants gave you those funny looks you had grown to distaste.
"Um, well. That sounds like a lovely plan, F/N!" Charlie smiled, cutting into the awkward tension. "I'll help Alastor get started on the snacks while you go shower!"
You smiled appreciatively at the princess before turning towards your bedroom and disappearing through the door. You could feel Alastor's eyes watching you closely. Perhaps a visit to the Overworld was necessary.
After a thorough shower, you returned back downstairs to find it deserted. Even Husk wasn't at his normal post. How strange. You could, however, still feel a certain radio demon's eyes watching you. You wandered over to the couch, empty and barren from any spec of crumb or snack. The hotel didn't have a theater room, did it?
Quickly moving from the lobby area, you wandered mostly aimlessly through the lower floor of the hotel, checking windows and doors for any sign of something that would resemble a theater. It would truly be a shame if the hotel didn't have one. A grand place like this? The sheer amount of empty rooms spoke for itself.
Eventually you found something rather odd and quite off putting in a hotel. It was garden. A mock garden resembling something ever so familiar to you. For, to your well aged mind, it seemed as if you were stepping foot into this very garden just yesterday. In fact, it was day you first met him. The ever boastful and proud first man.
The fake Garden of Eden was beautiful, and everything in it was real. You had quickly found an attachment growing to this place in the mere seconds you had been there. It had been over a thousand years since you gave even the smallest grain of thought to your first trip down to earth.
