Lacy opened the door for Drew with a blank expression. She didn't say a word as she turned and walked back inside, leaving the door ajar. Drew stood there for a moment, confused by her cold reception, then followed her in and closed the door behind him.

"Lacy?" Drew called out, his voice filled with uncertainty. But Lacy didn't respond; she simply walked into the living room and sat down, staring straight ahead.

Drew's confusion turned to frustration. "Alright, Lacy, what the hell? What's wrong with you?"

Lacy's head snapped up, her eyes blazing with anger. "What's wrong with me? What's wrong with you? I'm not the one shoving my tongue in some model's mouth!"

Drew's jaw dropped, and he took a step back. "What are you talking about?"

"I saw you last night, Drew!" Lacy shouted, standing up and facing him. "I saw you making out with that girl. Do you have any idea how that felt?"

Drew ran a hand through his hair, his frustration mirroring hers. "Lacy, it wasn't what it looked like."

"Don't lie to me," she snapped. "I saw it with my own eyes. How could you do that?"

"Because you drive me crazy, Lacy!" Drew yelled, his voice breaking. "I've tried so many things to forget about you, but nothing works. I thought maybe if I kissed her, I'd stop feeling this way, but it didn't help. It just made everything worse."

Lacy stared at him, her anger faltering slightly. "What are you talking about?"

"I'm talking about you, Lacy," Drew said, his voice raw with emotion. "I can't get you out of my head. No matter what I do, no matter how hard I try, it's always you. You've gotten under my skin, and I can't shake it."

"Then why did you kiss her?" Lacy demanded, her voice trembling.

"Because I was desperate," Drew admitted, stepping closer. "I was trying to find something, anything, to make me feel better. But this morning, when I woke up, I realized it didn't matter. It didn't change anything. I don't feel anything for anyone else because I've fallen for you."

Lacy's breath caught in her throat. She wanted to stay angry, to hold onto her hurt and betrayal, but Drew's confession threw her off balance. "You... you've fallen for me?"

"Yes," Drew said, his voice softening. "I'm in love with you, Lacy. And I know I've screwed up, but I can't pretend anymore. I'm tired of fighting it."

Lacy's heart pounded as she looked into his eyes, seeing the sincerity there. "Drew..."

He stepped even closer, his hand reaching out to touch her cheek. "I know I don't deserve it, but can you forgive me? Can you give us a chance?"

"Forgive you?" Lacy spat, pulling back. "Do you have any idea how much you hurt me? You don't just get to say 'sorry' and make it all better."

"I know I hurt you, Lacy," Drew said, his voice filled with regret. "But I was hurting too. Every day, being near you and not being able to tell you how I feel—it was tearing me apart."

"Then why didn't you tell me?" she demanded, tears of frustration spilling over. "Why did you have to kiss her to figure it out?"

"Because I was scared!" Drew shouted. "I was scared that you didn't feel the same way, that I'd ruin everything. So I tried to push you out of my mind, but nothing worked. Not even kissing someone else."

Lacy shook her head, her emotions a whirlwind. "I thought... I thought we were getting closer. I thought maybe you felt something too. But seeing you with her, it made me feel like a fool."

"You're not a fool," Drew said, his voice softening again. "You're the best thing that's ever happened to me, Lacy. And it took me kissing someone else to realize that it's you. It's always been you."

"Drew..." Lacy whispered, her resolve crumbling. "I don't know if I can just forget what happened."

"I'm not asking you to forget," Drew said, stepping even closer. "I'm asking you to give me a chance to make it right. I'll do anything, Lacy. Just tell me what to do."

Lacy looked into his eyes, seeing the genuine emotion there. Despite everything, she couldn't deny the pull she felt towards him. "I don't know..."

"Please, Lacy," Drew whispered, his hand cupping her cheek. "I need you. I'm in love with you, and I'll spend the rest of my life proving it if I have to."

The intensity of his words broke through her defenses. Without another word, Lacy grabbed him by the shirt and kissed him passionately. Drew responded immediately, his arms wrapping around her tightly. The intensity of the kiss ignited a fire between them, and everything else seemed to fade away.

As they continued to kiss, Drew's hands moved to the back of Lacy's dress, his fingers finding the zipper. He pulled back slightly, looking into her eyes for approval. Lacy, breathing heavily, nodded her head, her eyes filled with a mix of desire and vulnerability.

Drew slowly unzipped her dress, the fabric falling away to reveal her smooth skin. As he gazed down at her, he whispered, "You're so beautiful."

Lacy shivered, not from cold, but from the sheer intensity of the moment. She reached up, unbuttoning his shirt with trembling fingers, eager to feel his skin against hers.

Their lips met again, and this time, the kiss was even more urgent, fueled by the emotions they had both been holding back for so long.

In that moment, they weren't just colleagues or friends; they were two people who had finally found the courage to face their feelings. And as they moved together, they both knew that this was a turning point, the beginning of something neither of them could have anticipated, but both desperately needed.
