A few days have passed and it was the weekend. The whole week had gone tolerating Morana's tantrums and my brother's bitter words... Tantrums and my brother's bitter words. My wound had also gotten better and luckily I didn't turn into a werewolf.
Cortenya invited us to Calhoun for a little slumber party and to get to know all of us better. She also wanted to meet Emily. I sighed. This was going to be so fun but here we are, Morana is going with us, Emily and Alaric have lost their senses.
Deave had mixed both the herbs and added in each of their food. It's only a matter of time that Morana makes a wrong move and I will have my family back... But for now, I can just wait for that time...
So that day in the evening we got ready. I wore a peachy dress, beads hanging on my hair and strappy heels against my foot. Emily wore a french rose dress, Deave wore a blue jacket, Alaric had worn a proper black suit probably matching that with Cortenya's and Morana wore a dark blood red gown. As traveling to another kingdom, we were all going in formals and would later change into suitable clothing for the night during the slumber.
"We aren't going to use Madrew powder today but will be going by traditional methods. Afterall, you deserve to enjoy a real carriage drive to another country." Deave whispered into my ears.
"Deave, the party is today. It will take us five days to reach there." I brought some sense into him.
"Yeah! About that we will be using a bit of magic. We will go to Tabeedah by Madrew powder and then later on a carriage which would only take us one hour. Show shall we go my queen, our carriage awaits..." He answered as I stared at him, furious.
"I mean, Shall we go 'Faye'?" He laughed as I accompanied him.
So according to the ritual we grabbed the Madrew powder in our fist and jumped inside the water saying Tabbedah. I was actually a bit suspicious about Morana like dude, What if she mixed something in the water. Luckily, It turns out that Nothing that sort happened. She was a little too calm today like the calmness before the upcoming storm. I was having a bad feeling about this...
We soon reached Tabeedah and Oh! Goodness, As I smell that holy and enchanted air, It provides me with peace and makes all my stress go away. Nature is indeed God's most beautiful creation. Who are we to call ourselves pretty and others around us bad?
I believe we all are equal and if anything is superior than that, then it is Nature because God himself resides in the trees and in the flowers, in the drizzling water of the waterfall, In every voice that is echoed, in the beautiful sunshine that rises behind the mountains and in every bird that flies above them. Our chariot stood there. We paced ahead and sat inside the beautiful carriage. It was black and golden with white horses.
The Five of us sat in and the horses neighed there way ahead. Deave was right. There is a different kind of joy riding in this but the whole journey went without us saying a word. There was utter silence. Finally, after an hour, we reached Calhoun Empire.
Calhoun was a magnificent place. The markets were lined up with various species, grains, pottery and other trading material. People had come from various kingdoms. The markets were crowded but they made way for our carriage. I took another peek out of my carriage and spotted two men transforming into bulls and fighting in a wrestling ground. The culture was so unique over here.
Calhoun was the biggest kingdom here. Cortenya's father had won a war over a country named Borunu, another partial animal country and expanded their area, becoming the largest Empire in the world. Followed by the king's unfortunate death due to critical health conditions, The Queen under her supervision handed the kingdom to her daughter, Princess Cortenya and crowned her as the High Queen of Calhoun and she has been doing an impressive job till now She was happily accepted by the people and respected her as they did to their old king.
