Ben's POV:
I sat on Calla's bed, wondering what was taking her so long. Maybe her pack was telling her that they disaproved. Or maybe she was saying goodbye to everyone. I couldn't imagine where that girl was but it was driving my wolf and I crazy. "Go find her!" It commanded. Ignoring it, I admired her room. It was very pretty and it reminded me of the forest on a bright sunny day. The kind of day that made you feel as if everything would be okay in the end. It was like Calla, optimistic. She found me like that, thinking about her while lounging on her bed. "Hey!" She excalimed as she stared hastily picking up her room. "Hey." I smiled real big at her. She threw a book at me, "You were supposed wait." I replied with, "Pride and Prejudice huh?" My smile grew as she lunged for the book. "Give it back!" She yelled, reaching for it. "Hmm, who's Elizebeth?" I asked as I opened it. "Ben!" She growled. I threw the book aside as I grabbed her and pinned her down. "Is that any way to talk to your new Alpha and mate?" I said in my Alpha tone. "You aren't my alpha yet!" She said while attempting to kick me off of her. With a firm kick to the gut I spat out, "Nice try, princess." I threw all my weight on her and she squealed. The sound was cut off when I brought my mouth to meet hers. She went silent as she lost herself in our kiss. I pulled her off the floor and broke the kiss to look in her eyes. Staring at her, I barely realized the words that escaped my mouth. "I love you, Calla." She sighed and put her head on my chest. "I love you too, Ben." Something changed in me then. All our issues with the rouges, all the alpha induced stress, all the mourning seemed to fade away. I cuddled her against me and listened to her breathing. She was magical. Everything seemed to get better with her around, like the world was sparkling. "Wait to have the girliest thought in existence Ben" I thought to myself. I kissed the top of her head and my wolf became frantic. "Mine! Mine! Ours!" It screamed. "Claim! Mark! Mate!" It ordered. Calla bolted up to look at me. Understanding passed both our eyes and we kissed. Deeply too. I stopped, "Calla, what about your family? Your pack? You haven't even met mine. Are you sure this is what you want?" She considered this. After a while, she sighed and said, "Why do you have to be right all the time?" She pouted. I laughed and pulled her into my arms.
We sat that way for about a minute before she said, "Alright, I can't take silence anymore." I was about to offer up a conversation when I saw what she meant. She went over to her stereo and played sappy acoustic music. I normally would've perfered something more hardcore, but it fit my mood so perfectly that I couldn't complain. She returned to me and started to drift off. Then, just when I thought she was asleep, Calla began to sing. I would've been startled, but the sound was so beautiful that I was transfixed. I was even more surprised when I realized that I knew this song. I sang along with her, taking the lower octive. Our voices filled the night like the howls of our wolves under the moon. It was a beautiful and dreamy sound that hypnotized the night. Our voices twined and clashed at the perfect parts. Man, this girl could really sing. When the song was over, she gave me a sloppy kiss and returned to my arms. She snuggled closer to me and I could smell her perfect scent. Sweet like raspberries and flowers. With a hint of spiciness. I couldn't remeber a night where I fell asleep with a bigger smile on my face.
